BBSBBBm f fold use inverted bowl to make circle hat ,t)ants mi tten and cuff ,3 1/2" •2T./2" SUNFLOWER Crafts Sampler 5e/ a Santa Table MATERIALS NEEDED: Mixing bowl, about 7 inches in diameter Red, black, white and flesh-colored construction paper Glue Scissors Cotton, if desired DIRECTIONS: 1. Invert the bowl on a sheet of red paper and draw around it. 2. On one side of the circle add two inches for a neck. 3. On the opposite side, draw trouser legs 5 inches long. 4. Cut out this figure. 5. Cut a strip of paper two inches wide and long enough to reach around top of bowl for the arms. 6. Glue across circle just below neck. 7. Cut boots of the size and shape shown and glue to the trouser legs. 8. Fold across each boot so foot extends at an angle. 9. Cut a 4-inch circle from light colored paper for the head. 10. Cut out Santa's hat to match his suit. 11. Draw features and glue hat to head. 12. Draw outline for hair and whiskers on a piece of white paper. 13. Cut out and glue to head, gluing only around top section as shown by dotted line. 14. Cut out and glue pompon to cap and "fur" above boots (Cotton can be used for hair, pompon and trim). 15. Set the bowl on the center of Santa's body and bend upper body up the side of the bowl, letting neck extend above edge of the bowl. 16. Bring arms around top of the bowl to the front and fasten with a paper clip. 17. Cut mittens, as shown, and glue to arms. Let beard rest inside bowl. 18.
