10A WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2016 INDYSTAR OBITUARIES David Michael Blackwell Louise Elias Firsich Obituary Directory View obituaries and guestbooks at indystar.comobituaries 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016. He was born November 9, 1929 to the late Francis and Marguerite (Maloney) Blackwell in Indianapolis. David was baptized and attended grade school at St. Joan of Arc and was a graduate of Cathedral High School, class of 1947. He was in insurance sales with Metropolitan Life (Met Life) for over 30 years.

David was a member of the St. Pius Council 3433, Knights of Columbus and died on Sunday, January 10th at her daughter Laura Firsich Arnett's home, in Indianapolis. She was 75 years old. Daughter of Asa George Elias and Marie (Joseph) Elias. Sister to Joseph Elias (Mary) of Buffalo NY.

Wife of Louis George Firsich (deceased). Mother of Michael Louis Firsich, Karen Firsich Ruggles (Bryan), and Laura Firsich Arnett (Andy). Grandmother of 9. Louise grew up in Buffalo NY. She a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where he served as an usher.

He is survived by his children, Julia Anne Gugliuzza (Anthony), David Brian Blackwell, Dr. David Michael Black-well, II (Dr. Doug Ramsey) and Elizabeth Ann Blackwell; sisters, Patty Lawless (Don) and Margo Kirby; and grandchildren, Patrick Jones and Erin Jones. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Reatha Anne (Bledsoe) Blackwell, in 1962 and his second wife, Mary Helen (Bradley) Blackwell, in 2000. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, January 14 from 9 to 11 a.m.

in Christ the King Catholic Church, 1827 Kessler Blvd. E. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.

Louise left Buffalo to attend Marian University in Indianapolis, IN, the home town of her mother. She graduated with a degree in social sciences. She met her husband Louis at Marian. They were married on Saturday, September 29, 1962, at St Andrews Catholic Church in Buffalo, NY. Louise started her career immediately after graduation from Marian working at Catholic Charities of Indianapolis.

She then spent a number of years raising her three children, returning to her career after obtaining a Master's degree in social work at Indiana University. Following graduation she worked at Gallahue Mental Health Services. In addition to her work at Gallahue, she taught in the Indiana University School of Social Work as an Adjunct Professor. In 1991 she started her private practice as a family and marriage counselor and continued that work up until her death. Louise was nurtured in her Catholic faith through her grammar school, high school, and college education.

She was very active in a number of church ministries throughout her adult life. She was instrumental in bringing Marriage Encounter to Indianapolis in the mid-1970's. Most recently, the major focus of her church ministry has been in St. Louis De Montfort parish, where she did marriage preparation and coordinated Christ Renews His Parish (CHRP) weekends. Louise's other interests included quilting and knitting.

However, her primary focus in life was her family. She dearly loved her grandchildren and spent much of her later years enjoying their company. Visitation will be held at Randall Roberts Funeral Home, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Indiana, on Thursday, January 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St.

Louis De Montfort, 11441 Hague Road, Fishers, Indiana, on Friday, January 15th beginning with visitation from 9:00 Funeral Mass will begin at Burial services will immediately follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Nicholas Fund of St. Louis De Montfort, 11441 Hague Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038.

age 91, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away January 11, 2016. She was born May 25, 1925 to Raymond F. and Margaret Bach of Indianapolis where she lived the majority of her life. Mary had several identities in her long life. She was known as Mary Katherine, Kacker, Lucky, Mary Mary, Moomay, Grandma Gray and Mom.

Mary did her part during WWII working for the OPA. She was united in marriage to Harold F. Gray on May 7, 1944. toil Evelyn Virginia Agal 97, passed away on Jan. 10, 2016.

Danny L. Hause 76, of Carmel, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2016. Dan was born December 25, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Norl and Esther Hause. He was a US Army veteran. Dan owned Mac's Bicycle Store in Broad Ripple, retiring in 1992.

Dan was a member and Past Commander of the Carmel American Legion Post 155, Noblesville VFW, AmVets and the Noblesville Moose Lodge. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Dan is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Pam (husband, JK) Lewis; step-daughter, Bonnie Winter; grandchildren, Chris and Justin; sisters, Debbie Smith and Pattie Turney; brother, Alvin (wife, Dianne) Hause.

Eric is survived by his parents, Larry Peggy Denney and Sarah Fallis, his loving wife, Lee, his children, Justyn, Galen, Grace Ruth, his grandchildren Isabella, Ava, Basil, Clementine Luella, and his faithful companion, Lucy.

Eric is also survived by his seven loving brothers and sisters, as well as the countless people touched by his generous and caring spirit. Hwy. 31 with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial: Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis. Kimberly Jo Dirks 62, Avon, Indiana, died January 11, 2016.

Graveside services were held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pike County, Indiana. Kim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 5, 1953 to Joseph and Rowena (Chesser) Kays. She graduated from the Indiana University School of Business in 1976. She was employed at Detroit Diesel Allison General Motors for a number of years before she stopped working outside the home to raise and take care of her family. Kim was a member of the church of Christ.

Kim is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Dirks, whom she married April 29, 1978. She is also survived by her mother, Rowena Kays, of Bloomington, Indiana, brother, Mark (Kim) Kays of Canton, Michigan, daughter, Courtney (Nathan) Hulsey of Thompsons Station, Tennessee, son, Jeremy (Rachel) Dirks of Clovis, California, as well as her nephews and grandson. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kays. Kim was most happy while caring for others, and was a great caregiver to many during her life. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana, in memory of Joseph Kays, whom she tirelessly cared for, or to the Hendricks County Humane Society, in honor of all the animals she loved.

He was born in Springfield, TN to Jack and Mary E. Head. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Pauline Head, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and grandson. Woody served in the US Army 6th Calvary under the command of General Patton during WW II.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (George) 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 5, 2016. Bill was born February 26, 1951 to the late Robert Lee Gierke and Irene (Long) Gierke-Tucker. Bill obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Purdue University. Bill spent his professional years as Global Packaging Manager with Eli Lilly and Company and retired in 2003. He was an avid outdoors-man, family man, and golfer.

He loved spending time on the golf course and float Johnson; 2 sons, Donald Head and David (Brenda) Head; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15th, 2016 at Valley Mills Christian Church, 5555 Kentucky Indianapolis. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16th at Valley Mills Christian Church.
