Amazing how President Nixon is Apparently acclaimed by a vast majority of the people, and how many remarks they were glad that the other so-and-so is now a private citizen of Texas. It's a safe bet it will not be long, after some action is taken by the new government staff, that criticism will start again. Most believe there will be many changes made, but it not expected to be swift or unusually drastic. Following are remarks concerning the Moravia community which was received recently from Hilda Walter, who was a patient for some INVESTORS DIVERSIFIED SERVICES INC. HARDINGER Box Itt Ph. 932-2540 AfeU, Iowa CECIL STANSBERRY 312 W. Prairit Ph. 854-6032 Iowa time at Iowa City hospital: Dear Ray: As we neared home from Iowa City the sign at north edge of town "Moravia, the Heart of the Rathbun Area" was a very welcome sight, but to me it should have read the community with a Heart." While up there I came face to face with the problem of explaining where I was from. Thinking it easier to explain I'd say "know where Ottumwa or Albia, or CenterviHe?" This was the wrong way to explain it.

I found out later, as the days went by and my mail continued to come in by the dozens. One nurse came in with a handful and said, "Say, where are you from." After I had gone round robin to explain and finally got to the name, Moravia, she said, "Just what I thought. We had a lady here that got mail like this several weeks ago by the name of Mamie Tisue. That must be quite a community." I agreed and from then on when asked I always said Moravia, the same town Mamie Tisue is from and they understood. As people leave our community I feel they take with them something you don't find in every community, "true friendship." Each day at 12:30 Nola Callen came by to visit.

Got so the nurses referred to her as Dr. Callen. Each day Cyril McDanel would Walk to the children's unit to see Virgil Johnson and bring back to me a report on how he was doing. Then there was Forest Purvis who dropped by each day to chat about "the old home town." (He was there to see his father-in-law, Johnny Eaton.) Carl Boyer dropped in before and after his surgery. Down the hall was Dr.

Edwards and Mrs. Edwards dropped in to say "heUo." Mrs. Gerald Mikels, whom I'm ashamed to say I had never met before, came down for a daily chat While this was going on up there, there were the ones that kept the home front going for Friz and Marchelle. Somehow I feel God uses this means sometimes to slow us up and give us time to just plain "think" and be thankful. So as I attempted to write a "thank you" first I thanked God for the priviledge of living among such a group of people and secondly, I wondered, "how do your thank a whole community!" Sincerely Hilda We've found it true, and also often when inquired where we Were from not to beat around the bush, southern Iowa, south of Des Moines or some like generality.

Proudly spit it out, "from Moravia." Quite often the reply is that they know of it, and almost always as a wonderful place to bare been.
