THE SALINA JOURNAL OP-ED SUNDAY, JANUARY 28, 1996 US LETTERS TO THE JOURNAL P.O. BOX 74O, SALINA, KANSAS 67402 Abortion is not the natural way of things ,' I would like to respond to peorge Pyle's: "To fight abortion, help women," and to Dan England's "Marchers spread venom," both published Jan. 17. : - If the mothers of Pyle and England had aborted the pregnancies £>f these two know-it-all spoiled brats, who will never grow up, they could not have written these Stupid articles. * Sun. June 25, 1995, Pyle wrote: ('Looking into the face of God." fhe third paragraph he wrote: "The press in general, and myself in particular, are anti-authoritarian. The profession attracts people faith a tendency to question authority, to presume something tpss than infallibility of those who hold any position of power." •' God Almighty is the infallible power of the universe. Pyle, England, don't you understand that just because you cannot see Him, I^e does exist? People who try to grove we fell out of the trees like monkeys make asses of themselves. '; You two know nothing of the natural way of things in this world. Yet you have opinions reviling men and women who protest abortions, because a woman can do anything she wants to do with her body, because of your lust. The way of nature is: A woman and man have sexual intercourse. Eventually the woman is pregnant, that is the way of nature. That is the way God Almighty planned this natural happening. Abortion is not the natural way for a pregnancy to terminate. The pregnant woman must deliver the child into her arms. The child is a gift of/from God. The child is a special gift to a special person, or persons if the couple are married. Each child is very special. No oth- er'man/woman can produce that child. 'People who are pro-abortion, who support abortion, doctors who perform abortions, parents who demand their daughters have an abortion, will all stand face-to- face before Almighty God one day, at the end of their lives. There you will know the true answers, what a terrible sin you have committed. The relationship of an editor or reporter to the subscriber is capable bf ruining, even taking lives, if thi 'subscriber believes the drivel you write. You are not helping wb'men, Pyle, you are destroying them. The men and women who protest are not spreading venom, England. They are telling the truth, according to The holy Bible. Of course you have to be able to read and understand the Bible before you know these things. The moment of conception is the be'ginning of human life. It is the beginning of the child's world, his/her universe. To destroy the child in the womb is to destroy the child's world/universe. The aborted child will be in heaven with Jesus and God The Father. But, what about the mother, the doctor, those newspaper people who deceive women into aborting pregnancies? Where will they be? St. Mark says: They will be cast into hell, where their worm dies not! — WILBER H. DAVIS Salina We need more like Salinans for Life This is in response to Dan England's column on anti-abortion protests which appeared in the Jan. 17 Salina Journal. I recently moved here from Wichita to be with my husband. I also just retired from the military. I consider myself a veteran of 20 years who loves my country and would defend it and die for it. I also love my God and would give my life for him. What people like Dan England say is why our country is steadily losing the morals and values it was built on back in George Washington's day. I feel sorry for you, Dan England, because you are the one who is "clueless." You miss the point entirely of the Salmans for Life quest. They aren't wackos, and if it is venom that they spread, as you say, then praise God. We need more people like Salinans for Life who care about someone who cannot speak for him or herself. God created each and every one of us in His image, whether you want to believe it or not. Nowhere in the Bible are you going to find that a woman has the right to kill the child that God has created. Only God has that given right. Your reasoning does not count and will not count when you face God on judgment day. It will be too late then. I only hope and pray that some day you will have a change of heart and realize that no soul on this earth has the God-given right to be a murderer. A murderer is also someone who takes the breath out of a tiny little one. Even if that little one isn't completely formed ,as of yet, even if their little hands and feet and eyes and maybe a little smile on those precious .little lips are not completely there yet. I challenge you to dispute that one with our almighty God: — SUSAN M.
