Grizzle Mrs. Bertha Grizzle. 62. of 3107 Hillcrest died Monday at 1:45 p. in Barnes Hospital, St.

Louis, where she had been a patient following an operation July 3, for a brain tumor. She entered the hospital June 29. Mrs. Grizzle, an employe of Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp, in the metallic loading department for 20 years, had been in failing health for two years, but had continued at work until shortly before entering the hospital. The former Bertha Sprich, Mrs.

Grizzle was born in St. Louis, Jan. 28, 1899. a daughter of Mrs. Bertha Sprich.

Ussery is a patient in the Utch- field hospital where her condition was reported as fair. Mrs. Ussery was in the yard of her home when the fire broke out. She ran into the house and snatched the baby from her crib. After getting outside and upon finding her hair in flames.

Mrs. Ussery became hysterical and ran. A neighbor, Eml was was attracted by Mrs. Ussery's screams and he tore the burning clothing from Janie'i, body. Firemen theorized that fumes from a gas water heater ignited and in turn ignited gasoline in a Sprich.
