Redwood Region Logging Conference March 2004 Greetings! It has been a pleasure and an honor serving as the President of the 66th Annual Redwood Region Logging Conference. Success of our conference is attributed to our team approach. So, I would like to extend a warm Thank You to all of the volunteers, Board members and Sponsors who relentlessly pursue continuous improvement. This year's theme is California Grown. California forests are well-managed by licensed professional foresters under a sustainable approach where we grow more trees than we harvest. In California we also manage our forests with a high regard for other forest values including wildlife, fish, water quality, aesthetics and recreation. We are proud to produce forest products in a way that is both good for the environment and good for our local economy. Education Day is March 18th, and we anticipate over 1,200 local students attending a guided tour where they will view a wildlife show, lumberjack show, historical logging display with a running steam engine, new equipment display, forestry presentation and more. March 19th will be kicked off with the Gin Fizz breakfast where A.G. Kawamura, Secretary of the Department of Food and Agriculture will discuss the California Grown campaign. Donn Zae, President of the California Forest Products Commission win also attend and be available for discussion. So, mark you calendars and come on down for the 66th Annual Redwood Region Logging Conference at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in Ukiah (free admission). Our energetic Board of Directors has worked hard to pull together another conference full of great educational opportunities and entertaining events. This will be a great occasion for you to enjoy reunions with old friends and meet new faces in the industry. wishing you a safe and prosperous season, Adam Steinbuck, President, 2004 Redwood Region Logging Conference Adam Steinbuck, RRLC President GPS * 2 WAY RADIOS FOR YOUR FLEET 2416 Bioodwoy.
