Edward Engstrom, district director, told about fuel, fertilizer and grain, "A Look at Spring, 1974." 1974 will be a tough year as far as fertilizer is concerned, Engstrom said. New plans should be built for future needs of fertilizer so agriculture would receive 100 per cent of its needs for 'fuel. Mrs. Maude Stackhouse, President of Iowa Women's Traffic Safety Council, spoke to the group about tricycle, bicycle and motorcycle safety, along with alcohol and the drinking driver. Glen Taylor, Director of Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Public Policy Division told the ladies about various legislation that is being considered by the House and the Senate and that we all need to get involved in government in 1974. A film "Walk Without Fear" was shown by a member of the Mason City Police. The Blue Cross-Blue Shield Program was explained by John Jensen.
