10 - Friday, June 28,1963 Redlands Daily Facts DOUBLE HOME - The new home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ham is two mobile homes in one. If is in Sylvan Mobile Estates. Double trailer provides king size mobile home The unusual new home of Mr. and .Mrs. Edward Ham contains a large living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a den. The unusual feature of the custom home is that it is a mobile home, located in Sylvan Mobile Estates. The Urge home is two mobile homes in one for traveling purposes. When it arrives at its destination it is rejoined providing a tremendous amount of usable floor space for the family. Sliding Glass Door A large sliding glass door opens into the living room of the mobile home from a covered porch. At one end of the spacious room, with its built in bookshelves, is a sectional comer couch in a brown fabric. Bottle glass doors are used on the lower half of the bookcase. Adding to the open feeling of the area is a large wall mirror. Paneled walls highlight the beige drapes that cover the large corner windows. The stereo music system and television set are opposite the sofa. Sponsored by the Southern California chapter of the American Institute of Interior Designers, the show runs daily from 1 to 10 p.m. through ne.\t Sunday, June 30. Beautiful life-size ceramic dogs, goats and rabbits featured in the beautiful lobby display by Jon Peterson are show stoppers. Children run to kiss and hug the ceramic pets. At the back of the Palladium auditorium — on the stage — among a series of fine vignettes, a charming setting by Zita Zecb, F.A.I.D. stops everyone, but most specially cat lovers. Mrs. Zech has used her own private collection of stone lithographs which feature amazing white cats en gaged in a variety of mischievous endeavor. Among the most amusing are three which depict political satire of the times in which they were done — during President Lincohi's administration. At that time these lithographs sold for twenty-five cents. Today they are priceless and a true collector's item. It has taken Mrs. Zech over a quarter of a century to gather her collection. Also fea tured in the vignette is a lamp made from a sitting cat door stop and iron bookends which depict sleeping cats. TAKE YOUR CHOICE KANSAS CITY. JIo.
