While Jim Kerwln, who won the bet, got the money, he says he wont bet with Noonan any more as he can guess too close.

Supt. Blossey of the heating department of the Alton Gas and Electric said today that it is not the policy of the company to give poor service this winter to force all its patrons to quit. He said that good service Is the aim of the company and that the pressure will be kept up and the usual amount of heat will be given this winter. It was being currently reported he said that the company was' Intending to stop the hot water heating service after thia winter and by forcing people to stop through bad service would relieve the company of responsibility by the end of the winter. He says that such is not any part of the intention of the company.
