Willle Kieton and Walter Stanley, two well known East Alton young men, were arrested by Marshall John Franklin last night, charged with fighting on the public street.

From the story of the marshall told him by the boys, it seems Willie Kelton kissed pretty Dora Smith, on the public place, and Walter Stanley, another suitor saw the kiss. He call. ed Kleton to acount for the kiss, and the fight in the street ensued. This happened at 7:30 o'clock last night. It was ten o'clock when Magistrate Perry Johnson was aroused from his bed by Mayor Douglas, who wanted him to try the two boys and let them pay their fines and get out of jail.
