RffM^WSf HUMBOIDT CO BUSINESS REVIEW Batch's Dutch's Auto Sales handles used cars, trucks, and Ski Whiz Snowmobiles for Humboldt County. Butch is able to obtain almost any used car requested since he buys cars at dealers' auctions throughout the state. Butch also services all American cars and prides himself on being able to get any part necessary for a "good repair the first time." Butch's Auto Sales, three miles north and one mile east of Humboldt, is presently featuring an end-of-the-season sale on Ski Whiz Snowmobiles. Pictured with Butch are his two sons, Rick and Terry, who assist him with his sales and service work. Keeping an eye on the photographer is their 'pet,' Killer. •, "Our business is actually a family business," Alden W. Skow (better known as Butch) says about Butch's Auto Sales, three miles north and one mile east of Humboldt. "My sons work with me in sales and service." Butch's Auto Sales handles sales of used cars, of any American make available and Ski Whiz snowmobiles. He services most American made autos, trucks and snowmo- biles. Butch's shop work includes handling motors, transmissions, and parts installation. "We pride ourselves on doing it right the first time," Butch stated. "I guess it's quality, not quantity we think about." The gas crisis has not affected Butch's snowmobile sales. "They've held their own," he said Tuesday. Presently Butch is having an end-of-the-season sale on Ski Whiz snowmobiles. 1973 series 2 and 1974 snowmobiles are now priced at bargain rates. Butch's Auto Sales is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Customers can either call ahead for an appointment or drop in for servicing or to inquire about a car. Used cars sold from Butch's Auto Sales have been purchased by Butch at dealer auctions around the state. Should a customer request a specific make of car Butch can shop for him at an auction and deliver it personally. Skow lives with his family three miles north and one mile east of Humboldt. He and his wife, Juanita, were originally from Humboldt. Skow's children, Terry, 15, Rick, 14, Deanna, 13, Kevin, 10, Kristen, 8, and Brian, 4, attend. Humboldt Community Schools, with the exception of Brian. Butch's Auto Sales has been in operation for three years serving Humboldt County in sales and service work. Because Butch can obtain and install any part necessary for auto repair, his customers rely on him. Stop in and ask Butch about his Ski Whiz snowmobile special or ask about purchasing that new used car for spring.
