16 the Humboldt Independent, Saturday. Dec. 22, 1973 HUMBOLDT COUNTY UiAfttfl BUSINESS REVIEW & NEWS King's Den Dick Hollenbeck, manager and owner of King's Den, Humboldt, is a licensed hair stylist and barber. His shop also features gift items from the laboratory of RK, such as shampoo, dyes, and conditioners for men. King's Den, located on "Humboidt's action corner," specializes in hair styling and barbering for men of all ages. King's Den is located on the "action corner of Humboldt," below Larson Drug, says owner and manager Dick Hoilenbeck. Hollenbeck is a hair stylist, and barber licensed from the Iowa Barber College, Des Moines. Specialization at King's Den is two-fold. Small boys who are known for their inability to sit still find his humor and playfulness worth their attention. Small haircuts for small men keep Hollenbeck bargaining. Hollenbeck specializes, also, in hairstyling, tinting, dyeing, and conditioning. He fits hair pieces to customer specifications and personality. Hair pieces are sold under -the name brand of Man's World, a nationally known brand, says Hollenbeck. According to Hollenbeck, "Long hair styles are on their way out." However he still trims many shoulder length coiffures as well as more conservative, shorter styles. He styles hair into vogue styles, such as the shag and radial cut. Hollenbeck also features razor cuts, sheer comb cuts, shaving, facials, and scalp massage. King's Den features a complete line of Redkin Laboratory (RK) products for the men in your life for Christmas or birthdays. RK has a complete line of shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and hair sprays that have been laboratory tested for safety and results. These products are made of a high protein acid three base, and have proven to be very successful. Hollenbeck is working in a tradition started by his grandfather who was a barber. Hollenbeck's father, uncle, and brother were in the barbering profession. "It just seems natural for me," he stated. King's Den is open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, except Friday, when it is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The shop is closed Monday when Hollenbeck is visiting the care centers, Friendship Haven, and the two hospitals in Fort Dodge barbering. King's Den opened Aug. 1 and is .presently serving a wide variety of age groups and people. Stop in and consult Dick about that holiday cut for the upcoming festivities. * Klein's TV & Appliance dmtral wanam; wwuwnimiw S-OOfflHHKRMlDUrtflf RCA and Admiral televisions are included in a Christmas special offered to you by Allen Klein, owner of Klein's TV and Appliance.
