She places the finishing touches on a "high style" for her customer's holiday festivities.—Independent Photo. New at Henry's is the acid permanent, which has been developed to give the hair more natural body and curl. The acid permanent, slightly higher than the customary permanent, is actually better for hair because it conditions from the inside to the outside of the hair shaft. It is kinder to hair because the acid permanent contains no ammonia. "Presently," says Henry Rodrigues, "any length of hair is in vogue." Emphasis is on the comfortable and convenient hairstyle. Most popular in the Humboldt area is the "small head look" of the short cut and the layered look. The "small head look" is a cut designed to lay close to the head. For holiday festivities, Henry's Coiffures is taking appointments for hair styling called high styles. These styles are for an evening of holiday partying or a special •occasion, such as a holiday wedding. Featured also at Henry's Coiffures, Humboldt, is low combing and use of the hot iron. This thermostatically controlled heated iron is used for lifting and curling hair. It can be used, too, for last minute repairs. Henry's Coiffures is open from 8:30 to 5:30 p.m. six days a week.
