Co-hostesses were Wanda Wilson, Rose Stockdale, Lorette Stockdale and Bernice Knight. After a 1 p.m. luncheon, cards were played and a gift exchange was held. Later, during a social afternoon, dessert was served. Garden Club holds holiday party Dec. 10 Humboldt Garden Club met at Val's Cafe Monday, Dec. 10, for a noon luncheon, which was attended by 21 members and two guests. The business meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Fred Jensen. Installation of officers for 1974 was in charge of Mrs. Fay Davenport and installed Mrs. Fred Jensen, president; Mrs. Harold Pannell, first vice president; Mrs. C. L. Krammer, second vice president; Mrs.. Beulah Adams, secretary; Mrs. Nellie Grubel, treasurer; and Mrs. Carl Vought, historian. Each was presented a pine cone Christmas ornament as a memento. Mrs. Jensen gave the program, showing slides she had taken on the club tour in July of various gardens in Fort Dodge, as well as scenes in Humboldt, Algona and Virginia. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 29, in Humboldt Trust Community Room.
