5 Pittsburgh Press, Feb. 6, 1981 Tax Lawyer W.W. McVay Dies Ya day in Burbank, Calif. She died of pnuemonia Sunday. Miss Hendrix, shown in a 1958 photo, was once married to war hero-actor Audie Murphy and later to actor Robert Stack's socialite brother.

BURIED Wanda Hendrix, 52, a film star of the 1940s and '50s was buried yester- Memorial services were to be held at Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park today for Walter W. McVay, a retired tax attorney who served one term in the Pennsylvania Legislature. Mr. McVay, 84, of 441 Arden Road, Mt. Lebanon, died yesterday in St.

Clair Memorial Hospital. Mr. McVay, who had offices in the Grant Building, retired in 1961 after a 38-year career. He served in the Legislature from 1939 to 1941. He attended Waynesburg College and was graduated from George Washington University Law School.

He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. A veteran of World War he was missing and declared dead by the military. A memorial service was held for him in his native Waynesburg and 30 days later, he turned up in a hospital in France. He was a charter member of St. Clair Memorial Hospital, the Sons of the American Revolution, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 156 and the Elks in Carnegie.

Surviving are his wife, Edythe McVay; as son, William W. of Upper St. Clair; a daughter, Martha Hills of Hudson, Ohio; a sister, Ola Shirk of Mt. Lebanon; and six grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held in Waynesburg.

The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Clair Memorial Hospital. Edward B. Zieger Edward B. Zieger, 75, who had retired from the Gulf Oil real-estate sales department, died yesterday at the Oakmont Residence.

Mr. Zieger, of Penn Hills, attended Penn State University and the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta and the Lutheran Laymen's League, and was a past president of the Verona-Rosedale Kiwanis and an elder at the Epiphany Lutheran Church. Steel Valley Talks Today School District and its teachers' union will meet at 7 p.m. today, the deadline set by the union for a response to its offer to submit economic issues to binding arbitration. If an agreement isn't reached, the 207 teachers are expected to resume their strike Monday.
