Trout, 65, a hairdresser for the Joseph Home Co. for 37 years, died yesterday in Connellsville Hospital after a brief illness. A former member of the Alverta Church of God, Mr. Trout lived in Scottdale, Westmoreland County. He is survived by two brothers, Harold of Mount Pleasant and Clifford of Butler, three sisters, Eva Hernley of Scottdale, Gladys Kin-neer of Alverton and Vernell Box-chin of Scottdale.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Alverton United Methodist Church, Scottdale. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alverton United Methodist Church. James F. Barry James F.

Barry, 56, bank manager of the Chartiers Valley office of Mellon Bank, died yesterday in North Hills Passavant Hospital. Mr. Barry, of 1628 Middle Road, Glenshaw, had been with the bank 31 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Bridgeville Rotary. Surviving are bis wife, Gloria; two sons, James F.

Jr. and David six daughters, Eileen Nora L. Waldschmidt, Patricia A. Nock, Mary Ellen Newcomb, Colleen B. and Kelly his mother, Violet Barry; two sisters, Gail Ganster and Nancy Coopey; a brother, William and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Nevil E. Frank Funeral Home, 1314 Middle Sharpsburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

Christian Uhl A. Christian Uhl, 71, an employee of Bell Telephone for 45 years, died 'yesterday at North Hills Passavant "Hospital. A resident of 5000 Lakewood -Road, Gibsonia, Mr. Uhl was a member of Bell's Pioneers organization. He is survived hy his wife, Betty; four sons, Albert of Butler, Henry of Saxonburg, Eugene of Gibsonia and A.

Christian Jr. of Butler; three daughters, Betty Ardery of Wexford, Nancy Agosti of Bethel Park and Diana Rice of California; his mother, Kathryn Fix; 22 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Herbert R. King Jr.

Hatterer Norman A. Hatterer, 71, a retired bus driver for Port Authority Transit and the former Oriole Motor Coach of Green Tree, died yesterday at Ohio Valley Hospital. Mr. Hatterer of 159 W. Prospect Road, Ingram, was a bus driver for 28 years.

He was a life member and former resident of the 66th League of the eutonia Maennerchor of the North Side. He was also a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Ingram. He is survived by his wife Dolores; a son, Neal of Bridgeville; a daughter, Norma Jean Livingston of Oakdale; a brother, Wilmer of Ava-lon, and four grandchildren. Superior Court Judge Sam Reagan Answers A Boy's Plea The grand jury, which has been reviewing evidence in the Williams case since last week, meets again tomorrow. District Attorney Lewis Slaton said he might seek an indictment at that time, but he added he may wait until the panel meets again the following Tuesday. In a two-page ruling denying the motion for bond, McKenzie cited Williams' "recent conduct," his age and the contents of a police affidavit that was not made public. Williams is charged with killing Nathaniel Cater, 27, the 28th and last victim in the string of slayings that terrorized the city for two years. Williams was initially questioned in connection with the slayings on May 22 when he was stopped in the pre-dawn hours at a bridge spanning the Chattahoochee River.

Moments before he was stopped, a stakeout officer stationed below the bridge heard a loud splash. Cater's decomposing body was found two days later just south of the bridge. and concerned for the cruel ways in which some people mistreat them. "Your letter shows a sensitive understanding of the important role animals, both domestic and wild, play in our lives. "I want you to know that I share this concern and commend your courage in speaking out on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves.
