Three receive sentences in indecent assault cases Hlht 3nbiana diagttte Tuescfay, January 8, 1985 Pope 15 including three who to indecent assault, were sentenced Monday in the Indiana County Court. Alvin Wayne Olson, of Black Lick was ordered committed to the Indiana County Jail for six to 23 months and fined $800 by President Judge Robert C. after pleading guilty to indecent assault in a case involving two female juveniles. The incidents of indecent assault occurred for a period of more than two years in Burrell Township, according to court records. -Barley granted Olson work release privileges, with his sentence to begin at 10 a.m.

Jan. 12. Olson was also ordered to pay court costs. Howard Glen Kuey, 43, of Glen Campbell was placed on probation for 46 months after pleading guilty to charges of incest and indecent assault involving a female juvenile. According to court records, the incidents occurred between November and December 1983 in a vacant farmhouse in Banks Township.

Barley also fined Huey $100 and ordered him to pay court costs and to continue receive counseling as directed by the Indiana County Probation Office. A 19-year-old Indiana man on was placed on probation for 23 months and fined $300 after pleading guilty to indecent assault. Barley also ordered Darin James Kendrick of 720 Josephine Indiana, to pay cpurtcosts. The incident occurred March 2, 1984, at Keridrick's home and involved a female juvenile, according to court records. In consideration of his guilty plea, an additional charge of rape was not prosecuted.

A 36-year-old New Florence RD 2 woman was placed on probation for two years by Judge W. Parker Ruddock after she pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another person. Awanda Marie Sims was also fined $50 and ordered to pay court costs. According to court records, she pointed and waved a revolver at Ronald Murphy of Latrobe RD 6 and Victor Richard Nelson of Hubbard, Ohio, on May 21,1964. The incident occurred at a fruit stand in West WheatfieW Township after the two men allegedly asked Sims to make good on a bad check.

Ruddock ordered an Indiana woman committed to the county jail after she pleaded guilty on two charges of driving while intoxicated. On the first charge, Susan D. Brant Hastings, 35, of 956 Water was fined $300 and ordered to serve 48 hours to one year in jail beginning at 8 p.m. Jan. 25.

She was fined an additional $300 and ordered to serve a consecutive sentence of 30 days to one year, on weekends, for the second charge. She also was ordered to pay court costs for both cases. According to court records, the first incident occurred Feb. 19,1983, in the 1500 block of Philadelphia Indiana, and the second on Feb. 15, 1984, in the 600 block of Gompers Indiana.

Ruddock sentenced. three other people on drunken-driving charges: Barry Lynn Shoup, 25, of New Florence RD 2 was fined $300, committed to the county jail for 90 days to 18 months, and ordered to pay court costs after pleading guilty to DWI. The incident occurred July 25, 1983, on Township Road 806 in West WheatfieldTownship. A 47-yeaf-old Black Lick man, Robert C. Fisher, was fined $300, committed to the county jail for 48 hours to one year and ordered to attend the safe-driving school at his own expense and to pay court costs after he pleaded guilty to DWI.

According to court records, the incident happened June 27, 1984, on South Seventh Street in Indiana. (Around The Corner From NBOC) OPEN DAILY FRIDAYS TIL 8, SATURDAYS 10-5 On Jan. 2, Ruddock sentenced a 67-year-old Homer City man, James Lowery Deyarmin, after he pleaded guilty to DWI in Cherry Tree Borough on July 27,1964, Deyarmin received a suspended sentence of 60 days to 18 months in the county jail, was fined $300 and ordered to pay court costs. In other recent court action, it was agreed not to prosecute three cases against county residents: Jerry Dean Barto, 21, of Indiana RD 3 had been accused of burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, and receiving stolen property in connection with an incident Feb. 20 or 21, 1984. Trailbikes and tools valued at $3,385 were taken from a barn in Green Township belonging to Mary Jane Misner of Commodore RD 1, according to court records.

Jannette Lynn Patterson, 38, of Armagh RD 1 had been charged with recklessly endangering another person, making terroristic threats and two counts of simple assault. According to court records, she allegedly attacked her husband, Donald Warren Patterson, during an argument in their home on Aug. 11, 1984. George William Stambaugh, 35, of Glen Campbell had been charged with simple assault and making ter- roristic threats after he allegedly struck his wife, Marcia Ann Stambaugh, and threatened his two stepsons on Aug. 10,1984.

WILBERT R. GASTON, 75. of 941 Lilac Indiana, died Sunday, Jan. 6," 1985, in the Indiana Hospital. A son of Melvin and Clara Seger Gaston, be was born July 30,1909, at Dixonville.

Mr. Gaston attended the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church'of Indiana and was a member of the U.M.W. of A. Local 1412. He had lived most of his life in Indiana County and bad been associated with the Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Company for 32 years before retiring.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Suiter Gaston; a son, Donald W. of Creekside RD a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Johnson of Mechanicsburg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard and Clay Gaston both of Orlando, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Jlosborough of Orlando, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 79 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9. The Rev.

Donald G. Miles will officiate and interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. BETTY J. WRIGHT DiNUNZIO DUNKLEBERGER, 59, of 14 Oakland Lewistown, formerly of Blairsville, died Monday, Jan. 7,1985, in the Latrobe Hospital.

A daughter of John and Elzeda Travis Wright, she was born May 24, 1925. in Adrian. Mrs. Dunkleberger was a former employee of Dean's Diner, Blairsville. Surviving are her husband, Donald a son.

Kellar was a veteran of World War and prior to his retirement had been employed as a miner with the F.C. Burns Coal Co. of Indiana. Surviving are a sister. Mrs.

A daughter of George and Elizabeth Howieson Dixon, she was born in Peale June 10,1901. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Clymer Presbyterian Church, and a 50 vear member of the Indiana Chapter of OES. She taught school for over 33 years, with the majority of years in the Clymer School District. Surviving are a son, George Covington, two grandsons and three great- grandsons; a brother, William George Dixon, Muskegon, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Fisher in 1929. and her second husband, John Wright in 1970. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Bence Funeral Home. Clymer.

White board OKs pay hikes White Township officials and hourly employees will receive slight pay raises in 1985, following action by the board of supervisors at a special reorganizational meeting Monday. Annual salaries were increased S500 for the township manager, $31,685: secretary-treasurer, solicitor, S6.000. The township inspector's salary will remain 822,000. The township's nine hourly employees received 10-cent raises. Their wages range from $7.40 to $9.40 an hour.

Malcolm Strachan of Butler was retained as township planning con- sultaat. His fee is $40 an hour and $35 for each trip from Butler. Also L. Robert Kimball Engineering of Ebensburg will remain the sewer consultant on a monthly retainer of S100 a month. The township board made the following reappoihtments: Richard Rinkus and Day Nichol to the planning commission for four-year terms; Bill McCutcheon to the municipal authority for term; and Edward Platt, to the recreation board for a five-year term.

One hurt near Jacksonville A Commodore woman was slightly injured in a one-car wreck in Armstrong and a Clymer driver was cited for driving under the influence following an accident in Cherryhill Township. The Monday accident summary: JACKSONVILLE Jane Petersen of Commodore reportedly sustained minor injuries and was treated at Indiana Hospital following a one-car wreck on Armstrong Township Route 444 north of Jacksonville at 8:15 p.m. Monday. State police said the car ran off the road and hit a tree. CLYMER Ronald W.

Hankinson, 44, of 5 Harrison Clymer, was cited for driving while intoxicated after his vehicle ran off Legislative Route 32054 near Clymer and went into a ditch at 7:40 p.m. Monday, police said. Pine purchases truck HEILWOOD The Pine Township supervisors voted Monday to purchase a 1985 four-wheel drive dump truck from Cresson Motors, Inc. Cresson submitted the lowest of five bids at $47,920. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the supervisors will be held 7 p.m.
