She was a secretary for Deluxe Check Printers Company, West Caldwell, retiring in 1988. She was an avid gardener and fully enjoyed her life with her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake. Born and raised in Newark, she lived in Bloomfield and West Caldwell before moving to Spring Lake Heights in 1992. Her first husband, Walter J. Chmura, died in 1983.

She was predeceased by a brother, Theodore Fela, and a sister, Emily Bombolis. Surviving are her former husband, Ronald Alworth; a son, Kenneth Chmura, Chatham; three daughters, Kathleen A. Sarnecky, Spring Lake Heights, Eileen Devine, Lawrenceville, and Marilyn Melesky, Ponte Vedra Beach, three sisters, Eleanor Haddon, Kenilworth, Dolores Toresco, Warren, and Helen Etling, Scotch Plains; and nine grandchildren, Stephen and Lauren Sarnecky, Mathew, Michael and Jaime Melesky, Jennifer and Kristy Chmura, and Brian and Colleen Devine. 801 Broad Shrewsbury, NJ 07702. GERTRUDE KIVET BEYER, 100, of NEPTUNE CITY, died Thursday at the Manor by the Sea in Ocean Grove. A homemaker, she was the oldest living member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Neptune City, an officer of the board and the organist there for 29 years. Born in September 1899 in Paterson, she lived to see three centuries. She lived in Newark, then moved to Bradley Beach in 1939 and to Neptune City in 1941.

Her husband, Fred died in 1951. Surviving are two sons, Fred C. North Port, and Brick, and the Rev. Dr. Robert Treasure Island, a daughter, Lois Ann Huggins, Treasure Island, six grandchildren, Dr.

Fred C. III, Lancaster, Richard W. Morgantown, N.C., Nancy I. Krempasky, Marietta, Beth Ann Abbott, Warminster, Vicki Huggins, Montgomery Village, and Steven Huggins, Andover, and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m.

SIRIANNI CALANDRIELLO, 96, of RED BANK, died Saturday at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. She was a self-employed seamstress and a homemaker.

She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, and a member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Independent Ladies Auxiliary of the fire department. She was a volunteer at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, for more than 40 years. She was chairwoman of the Red Bank Halloween parade for many years.

She was an avid bowler who belonged to numerous senior leagues. She lived and loved life to its fullest. Born in Italy, she was a lifelong resident of Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank. Surviying are two sons, Victor, Stafford, and Frank Deming, N.M.; a daughter, Gertrude A.

Martinez; a brother, Joseph Sirianni, Long Branch; a sister, Yolanda Hardman, Eatontown; seven grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Red Bank.

THERESA CHERMAK, 76, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Saturday at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was a cafeteria server in the Toms River Regional Schools District, retiring six years ago. She was a member of the Deborah Hospital auxiliary. Born in Paterson, she lived there and in the Ortley Beach section of Dover Township before moving to Freehold Township a year and a half ago. Surviving are her husband, Edward J.

Chermak; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Joseph McAninch, Freehold Township; two brothers, Salvatore Tarantino, Stuart, and Anthony Tarantino, West Paterson; two sisters, Mary Popovich, Toms River, and Carmella Martelli, Garfield; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Stephen Gensel. Clement's Seniors, Matawan. He was a member of the Policemen's Benevolent Association, New York City. Born in the Bronx, he lived in Queens Village, N.Y., before moving to Marlboro 31 years ago. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Wilma Werling Doemer; three daughters, Claire Oehler, Somers, N.Y., Joan Uscinski, Estero, and Elaine Hoban, Middletown; a sister, Mary Hartmayer, Callicoon, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren. He was a pipefitter for the Longshoreman's Union for 23 years and at Fort Hamilton for 10 years with Basil-Tratoras Contractors in Maryland.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Koren War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Knights of Columbus and the Moose Lodge, Brooklyn. Born in Brooklyn, he lived there before moving to Old Bridge seven years ago. His son, Robert, died in 1997. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Gregg Donnelly; seven sons, Francis J.

New Haven, Dennis, Jacksonville, Michael, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, Steven, Staten Island, Bryan and Christopher, both Old Bridge, and Thomas, Matawan; two daughters, Kathleen Aspromonte, Staten Island, and Patricia Santiago, Brooklyn; three sisters, Theresa Scura and Margaret Lacey, both Staten Island, and Rose Hany, Brooklyn; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison. She was employed by Standard Plastics of South Plainfield, a toy manufacturer for 12 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the T. Nulty American Legion Post 471, Iselin. She was a communicant of St.

Cecelia's Roman Catholic Church, Iselin, and an avid bingo player at the church. Born in Bayonne, she lived there before moving to Iselin 31 years ago. Surviving are her husband, William "Bill" a son, William Franklin Park; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Tory Fellows, Edison, and Janice and Robert Wojewoda, Manalapan; four grandchildren, Kristina, Robert, James and Brian; and a special family friend, Wayne Hagaman, Edison. Costello Funeral Home, Iselin, is in charge of arrangements. EDWARD A. FISLER 67, of Belford, MIDDLETOWN, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a commercial fisherman at Belford Seafood Co-op for 18 years. He owned the Keyport Pet Shop for more than 20 years, retiring in 1991.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War Army, serving as a corporal. He was a former member of the Red Bank, and a third owner of the last working farm in Belford. He was a member of Belford United Methodist Church. Born in Belford, he was a lifelong resident. His brother, Robert, died in 1992.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Joyce Fisler; sons, Edward A. III and Jeffery, both Belford; two daughters, Sheree Hoffmann, Belford, and Sandra Connor, Keansburg; a sister, Reberta Long, New Monmouth, Middletown, a sister-inlaw, Barbara Fisler, Belford; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

DOMINGA GRANDE, 93, of RED BANK, died yesterday at home. She was a homemaker. She was a very proud woman who was a leader of the family and deeply religious. Born in Spain, she lived in Holmdel and Argentina before moving to Red Bank more than 30 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Jose, and her parents, Juan and Concepcion Abadin Gonzalez.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Connie Petrone and Maria and Peter Ortiz, all of Red Bank; four grandchildren, Joe Petrone, Victor Ortiz, Grace Magee and Nick Petrone; and four greatgrandchildren, Derrick, Lauren, Gabriela, and Sofia. WILLIAM JAEGER, 74, of Old Bridge, who has relatives in OCEAN AND MONMOUTH COUNTIES, died Saturday at home. He was a foreman at Central International Elevator Manhattan, retiring in 1986. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Born in the Bronx, he had lived in Old Bridge for 35 years.

Surviving are his wife, Aida Verrocchio Jaeger; a son and daughterin-law, Michael and Dianne Jaeger, Old Bridge; a daughter and son-inlaw, Karen and Steven Daroci, Jackson; a brother, Herbert, north Middletown; and six grandchildren. MARONEY, 80, of Jensen Beach, a summer resident of MONMOUTH BEACH, died Saturday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a comptroller of the Mining and Metals Division at Union Carbide, New York City and Danbury, for many years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a pilot in Navy Air Corps. He was a member of Old Greenwich Yacht Club. He was a communicant of Church of the Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, Monmouth Beach.

He enjoyed sailing and being on the water. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Niagra Falls, N.Y., and Niagra University, Niagra Falls, N.Y. Born in Niagra Falls, N.Y., he lived in North Providence, R.I. and Greenwich, Conn.

Born in Niagra Falls, N.Y., he wintered in Jensen Beach, Fla. and summered in Monmouth Beach. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret Mary Gorman Maroney; a brother, Michael McCarthy; and a sister, Margaret Mc Nicol. The family has requested memorial donations be made to Niagra Univer- ESTHER A. LAGAY MC DEVITT, 94, of Sun City Center, formerly of LONG BRANCH, died Friday at her home.

She worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone from 1921 until 1937, when she married her first husband, R. William Lagay, then principal keeper at the state prison in Trenton. She was a member of New Jersey Bell Telephone Pioneers. She was born in Trenton in 1905 to Nehemiah and Beatrice Green, moving to Long Branch in 1956 upon her husband's retirement and residing there until his death in 1963. In 1968, she married Leon Mc Devitt of Trenton, and in 1978, they moved to Sun City Center.

Her first husband, R. William Lagay, died in 1963. She was predeceased by her second husband, Leon Mc Devitt. Surviving are three children, Bruce W. Lagay, Syracuse, N.Y., Faith L.

Lagay, Galveston, Texas, and Suzanne Lagay, Annadale; six grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and a nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lagay, Bordentown. A funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach.

TUNE, died Friday at Safford Care Center, Safford, Ariz. He served in the Army for 25 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He served at Fort Monmouth from 1942 to 1967 and continued his career as a civil servant at Fort Monmouth and at Naval Weapons Station Earle in the Resources and Planning Department until 1993. He served in Japan, Spain and Germany.

He was a member Fort Monmouth Post Chapel. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland. He was a member of VFW Neptune Post and the Fort Monmouth Officers Club. Born in New York City, he lived in Neptune before moving to Pearce. His wife, Ann Marie Price McLoughlin, died in 1988.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Nora Conboy McLoughlin. Surviving are two sons, Russell J. Murphy of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, and Ronald P. McLoughlin of Pearce, a daughter, Carolann M. Perry, Shrewsbury; a brother, John, Queens, N.Y.; a sister, Nora Collis, Blackburg, five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

ROSARIO "RALPH" MINEO, 88, of HOWELL, died Saturday at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was the owner of Ralph's Trucking, New York City, for 44 years. He was a crossing guard in Rutherford, retiring at 84.

He was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Wood Born in New York City, he lived in Wood-Ridge for 41 years before moving to Howell two years ago. Surviving are his wife, Marie Morice Mineo; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rosary and Dr. Joseph Pollara, Marlboro, Mary and Ronald Drotos, Mount Joy, Joan and James Cleary, Montgomery, and Patricia Ann and Michael Jubanowsky, Bayville, Berkeley; 13 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. She was the office manager for Wall Stadium Inc. In 1995, she was named Auto Racing Woman of the Year. The racing families of Wall Stadium and East Windsor Speedway, where she had also been involved, cited her longtime support and enthusiasm for auto racing. "Saturday nights just won't be as much fun around here without Marian," said Wall Stadium track amanger Tucker Nicol. "Marian has guided this places for years." Mrs.

O'Rorke was known for her leadership, sense of humor, professional composure, and a work ethic that emphasized preparation, said Jeff Gravatt, Wall Stadium spokesman. She was a member of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club. She was a member of Old First United Methodist Church, West Long Branch. She was a lifelong resident of West Long Branch. Surviving are her husband of more than 45 years, Tom O'Rorke; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis D.

and Paula O'Rorke, West Long Branch; a daughter and Susan and Richard Disbrow, West Long Branch; a sister, Eleanor Hagerman, West Long Branch; two grandchildren, Mandy and Shawna O'Rorke; two nephews, Bruce and Brian Hagerman; and four greatnephews and great-nieces. THEODORE FOREMAN SHERMAN, 86, SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS, died Saturday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a fleet superintendent for Bilkay Express Trucking Company, Neptune, retiring in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant in the 1st Armored Division.

He was a member of American Legion 432, Spring Lake. He was a communicant of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake. Born in Allenwood, he lived there and for a few years in Spring Lake Heights before moving to Spring Lake, where he and his wife spent most of their life. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Florence H.

SMITH, 79, of BRADLEY BEACH, died Saturday at home. He was a machinist at Westinghouse, Jersey City, before retiring. He was a communicant of Ascension Roman Catholic Church, Bradley Beach. He was a talented, self-taught musician. He played the piano and organ.

He was equally at home with classical and popular standards. Born, raised and educated in Jersey City, he lived there until moving to Bradley Beach in 1972. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn V. Pierro, and two brothers, Gerard Smith, and his twin, Kenneth F. Surviving are two nieces, Jacqueline D.
