Mrs. Smith was born in Auburn, and had lived in Fair Haven for 47 years. Her husband, Francis, died in 1989. CELIA LAGUNA, 85, of BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Thursday at Point Pleasant Hospital. She was a home-maker and a member of Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Brick Township. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson. He was a retired civil service employee for the Earl U.S. Naval Depot, and was a member of Shiloh United Holiness Church, Asbury Park. Mr. Anderson was born in Sun flower County, Miss, and lived in Asbury Park for over 50 years before recently moving to Paterson.

He is predeceased by his son, Eugene Anderson Jr. Surviving are his wife, Lydia Anderson, Fair Lawn; four sons, Jerry Newark, Rufus Richard and Troy, all of Asbury Park; five daughters, Amy Anderson, Lydia R. Murphy, and Georgia M. Anderson, all of Hackensack, Margaret J. Martin, Atlantic City, and Demetria Johnson, Paterson; one adopted daughter, Marlene Lewis, New York; eleven grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

Baer was born in Ir-vington and lived there most of her life before moving to Wall in 1988. Her husband, Arthur Baer, died in 1964. Surviving is a sister, Laura Hock, of Texas. He was an auto mechanic for 20 years at the former Sunoco Station in Asbury Park before retiring in 1975. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Daroly Daly Post ANGEL WALLENDA, who died Friday, and her former husband, Steven, did not perform as members of the Flying Wallendas, the troupe once headed by Steven's uncle and the family patriarch, Karl Wallenda. Steven Wallenda formed his own high-wire act and performed with Angel. This information was incorrect in an Associated Press obituary that appeared yesterday in the Asbury Park Press. Also, Steven Wallenda and his 9-year-old son are not Karl Wallenda's last direct descendants.

One daughter and four grandchildren of Karl Wallenda still perform in separate acts. Another daughter has retired from performing. This information was incorrect in the obituary. of BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was a computer software technician for Federated Purchaser Cliffwood, Aberdeen Township.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Church, Seaside Heights, and attended Ocean County Community College. Mr. Moccia was born in Bronxville, N.Y. and lived in Seaside Heights and Lakewood before moving to Barnegat a year and a half ago. His father, Carmine, died in 1976.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Che-rylin DeMarco Moccia; two sons, Erickson Scott and James Jordan, at home; a daughter, Christina Nicole, at home; his mother Sydelle Ready, Toms River; and two brothers, Larry, Barnegat, and Glenn, Aberdeen Township. "RUSTY" N0VICK 76, of Holiday City Carefree, BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He worked in the delivery department of the New York Times for 35 years, retiring in 1980. He had previously worked for the New York Daily Mirror for ten years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10185 of Holiday City at Berkeley, the Holiday City at Berkeley Chapter of Deborah, the Holiday City Carefree Mens Club, An-gelers Club, and Garden Club, and the Pinelands Reformed Church in Toms River. Mr.

Novick was born in New York City and lived there most of his life before moving to Berkeley in 1981. Surviving are his wife, Dorthy Stanford Novick, and a sister, Eleonor Rufo, Riverdale, N.Y. He taught English at Central Regional High School, Berkeley Township, for 30 years retiring in 1992. He was also a seasonal employee at Island Beach State Park for many years. He was a member of Berkeley Township Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9503 and of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a 1960 graduate of Seton Hall University.

Mr. O'Brien was born in Passaic and lived there.before moving to Toms River in 1962. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Saxer O'Brien; four daughters, Theresa O'Brien, Dover Township, Monica Tice, Barnegat Township, Suzanne Mutone, Gilbertsville, and Barbara O'Brien, Whitehall, a sister, Dorothy Stackhouse, Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, and seven grandchildren. She was a member of the Grey Ladies during World War II. She attended classes at Drexel University in Philadelphia and Maryville College in Maryville, and also received a special certificate from Brookdale Community College 'for attending classes there well into her eighties. She was born in Deerfield Township and lived in Long Branch for several years before moving to Little Silver, where she spent most of her life.

Her husband, Benjamin, died in 1952. Surviving are a son, Robert, Middleburgh, and one grandson. Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Ocean Township, is in charge of arrangements. WILLIAM M. KIRK, 86, of the Bel-ford section of MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, died Friday at River-view Medical Center, Red Bank.

He was a printer for Firemans Fund of America, Newark, for many years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Newark's North Reformed Church, and was active in many church functions. He was also a troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America in Hudson County for many years. Mr. Kirk was born in Newark and lived in Kearny and Keyport before moving to Belford four years ago.

Surviving are his wife Mary Sullivan Kirk; two sons, William, Randolph Township, and Robert, Middle-town Township; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown Township, is in charge of arrangements. JAMES "JIMMY" LE0NARDIS, 87, of Newark, whose nephew lives in SPRING LAKE, died Friday at home. He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years for Bilkay's Express Company, Newark, retiring several years ago.

He was a member of the Independence Park Senior Citizens Club and a former member and president of the Ben Leonard Association, a musical ensemble in Newark. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Newark. Mr. Leonardis was born in Newark and lived there his entire life.

His wife, Virginia Zawalick Leonardis, died in 1981. Surviving are two daughters, Gerie Leonardis Galante, Newark, and Arline Fusco Raimondo, Livingston Township; a brother, Albert Leonardis, Newark; a nephew, Kevin Parker, Spring Lake, and three grandchildren. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Newark, and its Children of Mary. Mrs. Mattia-Blewett was born in Newark and lived in Highlands before moving to Red Bank 12 years ago. Her husband, Raymond died in 1975. Surviving are two sons, Peter Blewett, Highlands, and Martin Mc Grail, Red Bank; two daughters, June Mc Grail, Red Bank, and Claire Blewett, Highlands; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The John P. Condon Funeral Home, Leonardo, Middletown Township, is in charge of arrangements. LENA BENTON REYNOLDS, 86, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Bey Lea Commons, Toms River. She was a former elementary school teacher in Burlington County and in Neptune. She was a member of the former Freehold-Fitkin Hospital Alliance, a former secretary for the Freehold YMCA; and a former member of Battleground Country Club.

Mrs. Reynolds was born in Halifax, England, and lived in Freehold for many years before moving to Freehold Township in 1978. Her husband, Donald George Reynolds, died in 1974. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara R. Miller, Toms River and Cynthia R.

Murdock, Hern-don, Virginia; a sister, Barbara Wyck-off, North Brunswick Township; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Stevenson was born in Costa Rica and lived in the Shore area most of her life until moving to Palm Bay in 1994. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Wilbert Stevenson; a son, John Burns, ofPanama; a daughter, Michelle Whit-taker, Palm Bay. her mother, Louise Jacks, Attica, N.Y.; a brother, Daniel Jacks, of Panama; two sisters, Virginia Cousin and Carmen Jacks, both Attica, N.Y., and one granchchild. He was an accountant for many years for the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in New York City before retiring in 1987.

He previously worked as an accountant for the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in New York City and for the New Jersey Division of Pensions in Trenton. He attended the University of Vermont and was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Asbury Park. Mr. Turner was born in Paterson and lived in Hawthorne before moving to Ocean Township in 1950.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Connie H. Hamilton Turner; a son, Carl H. Turner and a granddaughter. Francioni, Taylor Lopez Fu- neral Home, Neptune, is in charge of arrangements. BETTY LOIS SCHOEN VAN SCH0ICK, 77, of MANASQUAN, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.

She was the owner and operator of The Corner Store, Manasquan from 1969 to 1973. She also worked in the transit and bookkeeping departments of First National Bank in Spring Lake and as a clerk for the Land and Mortgage Agency in Asbury Park. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Manasquan and of its property commission and Presbyterian Women Circle 1 and 2, a Presbyterian Women national and overseas sewing chairperson from 1987 to 1989, and a former church deacon, Bible study leader, circle leader and mission study leader. She was also a former Manasquan Elementary School PTA officer and a volunteer for both the American Red Cross and American Cancer Society. She attended the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, N.C.

Mrs. Van Schoick was born in Asbury Park and had lived in Manasquan since 1947. Her husband of 53 years, James Van Schoick, died in April. Surviving are a son, James P. Van Schoick III, Brick Township; four daughters, Betty Louise Anderson and Susan Jane Van Schoick, both of Manasquan, Lois Jean Menke, Mission Viejo, and Joanne V.

Clark, Point Pleasant; two sisters, Gwenyth Min-etta Harris, Ocean Township, and Nila Jane Sutphen, Camp Hill, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Robert C. Neary Funeral Home, Manasquan, is in charge of arrangements. JACQUELYN J. FRANZA, 86, of Crestwood Village, MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Community Medical Center, Toms River.

She was a service representative for Brooklyn Union Gas Co. in Brooklyn for 30 years before retiring in 1969. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8745, both the Whiting section of Manchester. She was born in the Bronx and lived most of her life in Brooklyn before moving to Manchester in 1972.

Her husband, Joseph, died in 1982, and her son, Joseph died in 1993. She is survived by three nephews, two nieces, and several gtjpat-neph- 1333, Asbury Park and the International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers Union Local 450. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bennett was born in Avon and lived at the Shore his entire life.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth R. Fell a brother, Donald Panama City, and a sister, Myrtle Taylor, Neptune. Francioni, Taylor Lopez Funeral Home, Neptune, is in charge of arrangements. ANGELO L. CASTILLONESE 81, of MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, died Friday at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.

He was a cafeteria worker for the Veterans Administration Hospital, Queens, for nine years, retiring in 1965. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Leisure Club of St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan Township, and the Manalapan Senior Citizens Club. Mr.

Castillonese was born in Brooklyn and lived there before moving to Marlboro six years ago. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Mendella Castillonese; a son, Salva-tore, Manalapan; a brother, Jerry, and a sister, Anna Marrinaccio, both of Long Island, N.Y., and one grandchild. CROSS, 69, of Lyndhurst Township, whose children live in MONMOUTH COUNTY, died Friday at Mountainside Hospital, Montclair.

She was a waitress for 18 years for North Arlington Bowl-O-Drome retiring, in 1981. She was a member of St. Michaels Leisure Citizens Club and St. Michaels Leisure Citizens Bowling League, Lyndhurst. Mrs.

Cross was born in Bayonne and lived in Lyndhurst for 40 years. Her husband, Robert, died in 1994. Surviving are two sons, Robert Ocean Township, and Kenneth Cross, Lyndhurst; a daughter, Karen Dun-leavy, Marlboro Township; a sister, Loretta Hunchak, Jersey City, and four grandchildren. Stellate Funeral Home, Lyndhurst Township, is' in charge of arrangements. MILDRED FRANCIS ANDRULONIS DE GR0TE, 74, of KEANSBURG, died Friday at home.

She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church, Keansburg. Born in Newark, she lived in the Leonardo section of Middletown Township before moving to Keansburg 18 years ago. Her first husband, Albert Andrulo-nis, died in 1962. She is survived by her husband, Ernest F.

DeGrote; two sons, Joseph, Miami Lakes, and Albert, North Miami, three daughters, Joyce Seymour, Jackson Township, Deborah Jean Mintz, Tarpon Springs, and Edith Yuro, Woodbridge Township; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was an assembly-line welder for General Motors Corporation in Linden, for 34 years before retiring in 1971, and worked in the maintenance department at Ivy House Nursing Home, Middletown Township, for several years after his retirement.
