An attractive decoration of chartreuse burnt orange hung on the backdrop behind Denny Thompson and his orchestra.

As we waited to check our wraps, we were greeted by Mrs. Herman Gaertner, a member of the door committee. The tomato red flowers of her white print gown were centered with deep green. The gown, which was styled with a V-neckline and cap sleeves, was complemented by the gardenia corsage in her hair. GLANCING INTO THE BALLROOM, we noticed Miss Eileen Bader, who wore a brilliant plaid frock with a fitted bodice of black jersey.

Miss Jean Schwab and Toby McChesney waved as they danced by. The brief glimpse showed that Miss Schwab was attired in a deep blue dinner dress that featured fringed epaulettes. Near the cloak room, Mr. and Mrs. George Shepard were exchanging "hellos" with friends.

She was attired in an unusual gown of gray-rose marquisette with voluminous ruffles cascading down the back of the skirt. Miss Agnes Reed, wearing a chartreuse crepe gown, passed by as we turned to watch the dancers.
