OBITUARIES Jazz singer Maxine Sullivan dies ny General Hospital. Mr. McChesney, 85, of State Avenue, Coraopolis, was a McKees Rocks native who spent 44 years working in the Dravo shipyards. He was active In the volunteer program at Kane Hospital. He is survived by three daughters, Betty M.

Gibson and S. Jean Ali-mena, both of Coraopolis, and Barbara H. Roush of Marietta, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

Burial will be in Coraopolis Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or the Valley Ambulance Authority, Musmanno Boulevard, Coraopolis 15108. Alfred M. Henke Alfred M. Henke, 67, former vice president of Gulf Research and Development in Harmarville, died Monday of a heart attack while vacationing in Litchfield Beach, S.C.

Mr. Henke, who lived on Henderson Drive, Springdale Township, was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, the American Institute of heart in a transplant 2H years ago and was the 1986 Pennsylvania hon-. orary campaign chairwoman of the Christmas Seal League. She also was active in the Transplant Recipient International Organization, a support group for those awaiting transplants.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Scott and its choir. Miss Logue is survived by her mother, Dolores at home; a sister, Alice H. Oakes of Upper St. Clair, a brother, John W. Logue of Bethel Park; and her grandmother, Helen Baier of ML Lebanon.

Visitors will be received from 7 to 9 tonight at the Beinhauer Mortuary, 2630 West Liberty South Hills. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Grace Church, off Bower Hill Road, followed by burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters, Washington County. Barbara Ann Logue Barbara Ann Logue, 30, a supervisor for General Nutrition died Sunday of a heart attack at St.

Browne Elizabeth Hulton Browne, 88, who taught in the Pittsburgh public schools for 45 years, died yesterday of a stroke at the Presbyterian Medical Center, Oakmont Miss Browne, who lived at the Oakmont Presbyterian Home, was a' 1932 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Miss Browne was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Session Room, East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Highland Mall, East Liberty. Burial will be private. Ralph S. Richards Jr.

Ralph S. Richards 64, a former vice president of Parker Hunter, a Downtown investment firm, died Monday of cancer at his home on Osborne Lane in Osborne. Mr. Richards was a past partner of Richards and Co. and past chairman of the board of Richards Lynch and Pegher, Downtown, both invest- ment firms.

He was past president of the Pittsburgh Stock Exchange and was co-chairman of the 11th District Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers. He was former treasurer of the Travelers' Aid Society. A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Richards was a graduate of St. Paul's School and attended Yale University.

Surviving are his wife, Shelagh; a son, William of Boston; four daughters, Leila J. of Philadelphia, Shelagh of Sewickley, Stephanie McConnell of Boston and Constance Rush of Portland, Maine; and a granddaughter, The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow in the Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, Beaver and Grant streets. William McChesney William J. McChesney, a retired supervisor and foreman at the Dravo Corp.

Neville Island shipyards, died of heart disease Monday in Alleghe Maxine Sullivan, 76, a Homestead native who went on to a career spanning more than 50 years as a jazz singer, died yesterday of cancer at Westchester Square Hospital in New York City. "Born Marietta Williams in Homestead, Miss Sullivan debuted at the Carnegie Library in 1918. After graduating from Homestead High School, she worked as a waitress and singer at the Benjamin Harrison Literary Society speakeasy qrf Liberty Avenue. then went to New York, wftere, singing with pianist Claude tfcrnhill, she recorded a swing ver-sjon of the Scottish ballad "Loch Lomond" for which she gained some qeferee of fame. 'During a career that took her to tjjiibs across the nation, she appeared tgt vaudeville programs and sang itth swing bands.

She appeared in WD movies with the late Louie icmstrong: "Going Places" in 1938 fa) "St. Louis Blues" in 1939. rtjMiss Sullivan was to be the guest it honor at this year's Mellon Jazz Festival in June. jMary Zubrow, Mellon's manager community relations, said the Ettival still would be dedicated to fCjss Sullivan. Zubrow said. She was just so excited about coming home." (She's still out there singing like she did in the '30s." Stout, 89, director of the Federal Housing Administration in Western Pennsylvania for 23 years, died Monday of cardiac arrest at his home in Ben Avon Heights. Mr. Stout graduated from both George Washington University and American University. He was a member of the Ben Avon Presbyterian Church. Mr.

Stout is survived by his wife, Margaret Perrine; a daughter, Sarah Woodburn of Kilbuck; a sister, Mary Clark of Ohio; and two grandchildren.
