Otte Sr. LA MARQUE William Karl Otte, age 87, of La Marque, died Wednesday afternoon, December 9, 1992 at his residence in La Marque. He was born March 23, 1905 in Vienna, Austria and immigrated in 1921 to Galveston where he worked with his uncle, Fred Waidhofer, at Calvary Cemetery. In 1925, he married Rossina Louise LaBarbera. They had 67 years of marriage.

Mr. Otte worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 15 years, moved to La Marque in the early 30's where he ranched and farmed in his early years in La Marque. He built and operated the Original La Marque Feed Store Known then as Otte's Feed Farm Supply. He was employed as a first class Machinist by American Oil Company, retiring in 1967 after 30 years of service. Mr.

Otte was a Boy Scout Leader for many years, a member of AARP RSVP of the College of the Mainland, member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. A Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Hbme and Funeral Mass at Saturday at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque with Msgr.

James Crowder Funeral Home Keith J. Spangenberg SANTA FE Mr. Keith J. Spangenberg passed from this life Tuesday evening at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, while in his 75th year. Born December 10, 1916 in Carbondale, Mr.

Spangenberg had been a resident of Santa Fe for 4 years, previously of Houston. He had retired after 11 years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as a construction inspector. A member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Santa Fe, he had been a 37 year member of the Methodist Church in Waymart, and was a past member of the masonic lodge there. He was also a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, having served in the Infantry. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia Marx Spangenberg of Santa Fe; son, Bart Black Spangenberg, Clear Lake; daughter, Rose Spangenberg Robbins, Clear Lake; step-son, Robert Brundrett, Houston; brother, Guy Spangenberg, Waterbury, sister, Lenora Tomkin, Carbondale, and grandchildren, John Anthony Brundrett and Brittany Rose Robbins.
