Indiana, Friday, September 24, 1993 Page A2 Pharos-Tribune, Logansport, Obituaries Iva Gidley Brunat MIDLAND, Texas Services for Iva Gidley Brunat, 76, Midland, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, 801 Andrews Highway. She died Wednesday in Midland. She was 'born Jan. 24, 1917, in Logansport.

In 1933, she was married i in Logansport to John Reavis, who died in 1941. She was then married for 15 years to Larry Gidley, who preceded in death. Then, in March of 1958, she was married in Peru to Robert E. Brunat, who also preceded in death. She was a member of Midland Christian Fellowship.

Raised in Logansport, she was a graduate of St. John's High School. Mrs. Brunat had worked: as an LPN at Logansport Memorial Hospital. Surviving are two sons.

Ralph Gidley, Marysville, and Robert Brunat, Georgetown, Texas; two daughters, Frances Gidley, California, and Shirley R. Bates, Midland, Texas; two sisters, Ardella Martin, Marble Hill, and Gertrude Neher, Kokomo; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson. Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Leo Riley.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. SEPT. 22, 1993 Gladys Lillian Dahlenburg MONTICELLO Gladys Lillian Dahlenburg, 79, Rt. 5, Monticello, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in Tioga Pines Living Center.

Born Feb. 14. 1914, in White County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Lela Belle Hobbs Wheeldon. On Dec. 31, 1948, she was married in Monon to George H.

Dahlenburg, who survives. Mrs. Dahlenburg had worked as an inspector at Kingsbury Ordnance Plant during World War II. She also had worked as a nurse's aide at White County Memorial Hospital and as a waitress in Monticello for several years. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose.

Also surviving are one son, Jerry, Monticello; two daughters, Jo Johnson and Karen Halter, both of Monticello; two sisters, Almeda Jordon, Califomia, and Alice Gudeman. Monon; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Riverview Cometery, with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating.

There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the White County Food Pantry and the Alzheimer's Foundation, SEPT. 23, 1993 Irene R. Neuman RUSHVILLE Services for Irene R. Neuman, 76, of 500 W.

Vincent Hospital, IndiMrs. anapolis. Born Sept. 24, 1916, in Brookville, she was the daughter of William Henand Emma Harvey Osborn. On July 17, 1937, she was married to John J.

ry Neuman, who died in 1957. Mrs. Neuman retired in 1990 as a legal secretary for Vance Waggoner. She had worked for him 33 years. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church.

She also was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Martha Poe Chapt. member and past president of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority and a 1:43. a member and past secretary of the Elks Widows' Assoc. Surviving arc one daughter, Barbara Berdinc, Rochester; one son, Fred Jay, Spring, Texas: five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded in SEPT.

Chapman, 79, of 404 Washington died at 6:13 p.m. Thursday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. Born Jan. 17, 1914, in Colburn, he was the son of Charles and Rose On June 6, 1937. he was married in Monitor to Edith Mitchell Chapman.

Myer, who survives. Mr. Chapman retired from farming in 1977. graduate of Monitor High School, Mr. Chapman also was an avid A 1931 woodworker.

He was a member of Flora Church of the Brethren and also was a past of the church board. Mr. Chapman also belonged to Dayton Masonmember ic Lodge No. 103. Also surviving are two sons, Darrell, LaPorte, and Ed, Flora; three sisters, Ruby Drake, and Bernice Ojczenasz, all of Terre Haute; four Mary Riley grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

5. Peru, died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday in PERU Mary Hanger, Dukes Memorial Hospital. 14, 1924, in London, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Born April Mae Young Wyatt. On May 12, 1952, she was married to Ray N.

and Dora Hanger, member of the United Methodist Church and the Unitwho survives. Mrs. Hanger was a ed Methodist Women's Fellowship in Santa Fe. Also surviving are two sons. Mahley, 87, of 701 E. Main will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Mrs. Mahley died at 2:42 p.m.

Wednesday in Dukes Memorial Hospital. Born March 17, 1906, in Peru, she was the daughter of Wesley Donald M. and Ida Bell Patchett Wolfe. On Aug. 19, 1937, she was married to Mahley, who died July 5, 1959.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Donald Vienna, one sister, Ruth Twigg, Franklin; and several nieces and Three brothers and six sisters preceded in death. Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Ron Kerr. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Sadowsky 90, formerly of 521 Pontiac died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday in Miller's Merry Manor, Culver. Born April 4, 1903, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of M.J. and Esther Marshal Sadowsky. On Oct.

13, 1923, he was married in Waukegon, to Margaret L. Wilson, who died Aug. 14, 1993. He and his wife had owned and operated the Lake Manitou Resort for many years. Mr.

Sadowsky attended Carnegie Technical College and graduated from Tri-State University in 1923 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Margaret Neff, Rochester; two sons, Maurice J. Chicago, and Wilson, Madison; four sisters, Jessee McKibben. Fay Albert, and Betty Sadowsky, all of Pittsburgh, and Rose Spivak, Redlands, one brother, fra, Pittsburgh, cight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. One sister and three brothers preceded in death.

Simon said the next step in the federal charge of bank robbery against the pair is a federal grand jury investigation of the charges. Simons said he could not comment as to when the grand jury will hear the evidence in the case.

Should the grand jury return indictments against the pair, the arraignment for them is scheduled for Oct. 19. It will be at the arraignment when they will be given their first opportunity to plead either guilty or not guilty. Both men have confessed to FBI and state police agents to robbing the bank on Sept. 7.

The men told police they used shotguns in the robbery, according to police reports. Simon said he will study the evidence in the case before deciding whether to charge the men with armed robbery. An alarm activated at Fairview Elementary School. mandatory five year sentence along. with any other sentence imposed. If convicted of bank robbery. they can be sentenced to 25 years in prison and fined up to $250,000.

The men also have been charged' with burglary and theft in Circuit Court. They allegedly' attempted to cash a check at the. bank minutes prior to the bank rob-; bery. The check was owned. by, Shaw's mother, according to police reports.

The two men were captured in; Panama City, on Monday after a routine traffic stop by Panama: City police. The men were riding in an auto owned by Shaw. They waived extradition and. were returned to the Cass County: jail by FBI and state police agents. The men were transferred to the federal facility Wednesday morn-: ing.

Bank robbery is a federal: offense, because banks are insured' by a fedcral agency of the U.S. Government. Cass Prosecutor Rick Maughmer also had the option of filing bank robbery charges in Cass Circuit Court. the money.
