Gillespie, Eddie Palmi-cfi and the Dimension Latina perform March 15 at 10 p.m. This Sunday at 8 p.m., the 70th birthday tribute to American composer Samuel Barber will be broadcast from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Barber's The School for Scandal overture, Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and Second Essay for Orchestra will be performed. Artists include conductor Calvin Simmons and mezzo-soprano Mary-anne Casiello, both Curtis graduates.
