O. K. Jan. The have followed an identical light of day in Pittsburgh, Rit is one year older than Cliff As youngsters they played to- t-mri. attended a I I a a a and nvhile still in the 'teen ace, both became waiters.

Thirtv -two rs ago they pened a chop se in the rear part of a Tampa saloon. When the World war involved the United States, the brothers disposed of the chop house and entered Uncle Sam's service. They entered the service on the same day snd both became members of the 306th trench mortar outfit. They both served ss cooks in the same company and when the outfit sailed for overseaa they were bunkmates on the same troopship. The Chambers brothers served 16 months on foreign When they were mustered out of the army each held the rank of mess sergeant.

NAMES COMBINED IN NEW VEXTl'RE Back to Tampa came the Chambers brothers snd they opened a cafeteria Their lives had been so closely linked that they decided to merge their names in giving a title to their new place of business. It became the Ritenclif. And for the last nine years they have seen their business expand snd grow in its present location at 310-12 Zack in downtown Tampa. The brothers have eating facilities to serve 242 persons at one time. Only two meals are served daily luncheon at noon and dinner in the evening.

Many of the holders of key positions in the Rit and Cliff organization are veterans in point of service. Fred McLaughlin, the chef, has been with them for 25 years. Miss Mary Fernandez, cashier, has been on their payroll for 20 years. WAITERS CHANGE WITH THE SEASON Herbert Butler, the baker has been with them continuously for 16 years. There sre 53 employes in all.

The chief turnover among the "help" is among the waiters, who come and go with the changing seasons. "We get along as well as you might expect any two brothers to get along," Cliff told me with a smile, then added. "Maybe we get along better than the average." Between the hours of 12 noon and 2 p. m. on Sunday the slowly moving line on the sidewalk in front of the Ritenclif reminds one of the lineup in front of a motion picture theater when some new and appealing screen play is offered.

The brothers serve an sverage of 1,500 to 1,700 meals to Sunday patrons, Cliff told me.
