She was retired from the Hudson Library, where she was a secretary for 20 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hudson and was on the Board of Deaconesses, and a member of the Establishment. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Jamison Jr. and they are together again, and is survived by her daughters, Janet Grohe (husband, Edward of Foster City, and Muriel Kay Wood (husband, Terry) of Hudson; grandchildren, Paul Grohe (wife, Adrienne Jacques) of San Jose, Eric Grohe of Foster City, Erin and C.

Meade, 61, of state Route 46 North, Jefferson, died Monday morning at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he had been patient the past two weeks with heart and kidney failure. He was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Jefferson, the son of Albert C.

and (Bassett) Meade. Mr. Meade was a resident of Jefferson all of his life. He was the owner of Meade Materials Sand Gravel in North Kingsville since 1972. He previously worked for A.C.

Meade Excavating, a family-owned business, and Ashtabula Box Socket. He was was a veteran of the U.S. Army and with the 101st Airborne Division, earning the rank of sergeant E-5. He was a member of the Adoniram Lodge 517 in Akron. Survivors include his wife, Janice W.

(Naskali); son, James L. Meade Jr. of Jefferson; sisters, Anna Pinncy of Geneva, Ethel Dumperth and Mary Lou Plut of Jefferson, Ruth King Cuyahoga Falls, Martha Swanson of North Kingsville, Carol Evans of Akron; and brother, William E. Meade of Akron. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn Pheasant; and half-sister, Lauris Chalker.

STOW Clyde D. Starcher 64, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 31, Born in Cremo, W. he had lived in Stow since 1960, and had retired from Ohio Edison in 1995 after 39 years service. Mr.

Starcher was active in many Stow youth activities, including coaching baseball and basketball for many years, commissioner in football, and Scout Master and Webelos leader at Fishcreek School. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Men's Club at Ohio Edison. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Faith, he is survived by wife of 44 years, Teddy; daughter, Nancy of Stow; sons, Chip of North Canton, Joe of Stow and his fiancee, Lisa Scheetz of Akron, Jim and his wife, Theresa, of Akron; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Danielle, and Tyler; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Stanley Lapchynski of Huron, June and Frank Ruehr of Shalersville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Todd and Pat of Hudson, Dan and Betsy of Stow; the O.F. (Tom) Tucker Elbon V. (Tom) Tucker, 78, of 175 N. Swain LaRue, Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at 11:55 a.m., at his residence. He was born Jan.

9, 1922, in Buffalo, W. to the late Brady and (Sayre) Tucker. On July 28, 1946, he married Gladys Smyers; she survives. Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. Pam (Jay) Murphy Vegas, and Mrs.

Vaughn (K.V.) Kenneth W. Vaughn (K.V.), 49, passed away Jan. 30, 2000, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in Akron on Aug. 30, 1950, he lived in the Akron area all of his life.

He graduated from East High School and the University of Akron. He was a teacher and coach at Springfield High School for 27 years. Kenny was inducted into the East High School Hall of Fame, the Greater Akron Softball Hall of Fame, and the Lone Star Fraternity Hall of Fame. He was a member of Tallmadge Church of Christ. It's the simple things in life that Kenny enjoyed: faith in God, family, friends, love of teaching, and love of sports as a player and coach.

He especially enjoyed watching his children participate in sports. "Dick" Reaves, formerly of Tallmadge, Ohio, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at the Arbors of Fairlawn. Mr. Reaves born in Fuquay Springs, N.C., on was, Oct. 9, 1914.

He had lived in for Roanoke Rapids, N.C.,. Chester, from 1946 to 1962, and worked at 18, years, moving the Commingle Co. in Pennsylvania. He moved to Tallmadge in 1962, and worked for Goodyear Tire Rubber Co. from 1962 to 1978.

He was a retired lieutenant colonel from the Army Reserves. He was a chemical engineer, receiving his degree from the University of North Carolina. He is survived by his daughters, Beverly A. Sheeky of Boothwyn, and Barbara M. Sadler of Uniontown; four children; and grandchildren, brother, four Wiley great Reaves of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

There will be no calling hours. There will be a simple cremation memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at the Rose Hill Mausoleum. The service will be provided by the Retired Officers Association Reserves Group, Chaplain Edward White officiating.

Born March 23, 1919, in Murfreesboro, he retired from the Goodyear Rubber Co. in Akron, and was a veteran of World War I1, serving four years in the South Pacific. Spina was born in Antillo, Italy, on June 6, 1937, and came to the Akron area in July 1968. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Kenmore Italian Civic Club, and was a carpenter for the sity of Akron for 23 years. Vucicevich (Vukich), 91, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000. Mrs. Vucicevich was born in Slovenia, and had been an area resident since 1945. Preceded in death by her husband, Sam, in 1961; and grandson, Michael PheIan, in 1991, she will be sadly missed by her daughters, Diana (James) Thomas of Orlando, Nadia Phelan of Cuyahoga Falls, Lillian (Louis) Massa of Munroe Falls; sons, George (Stephanie) and Nick (Pat), all of Akron; grandchildren, Debbie Hamil, Christine Morckel, John Phelan Mark Vukich, Karen Pierce, Stephen G.

Mr. Whitehurst retired in 1966 from the shipping department at the Akwell formerly the ShunkKillian Rubber Co. He was born in Middleton, England, and lived in Tallmadge since 1988. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, the Holy Name Society at St. Sebastian Church, and the Carrollton Lions Club.

As a young man, Tom was nicknamed "Fish" because of his love for fishing and canoeing. This love of the outdoors and of physical activity continued with his numerous trips to the parks and his exercise regimen that he maintained until this past year. He was a familiar face in Tallmadge, where he enjoyed his friends and neighbors at Tallmadge Oaks, Murphy's Restaurant, Wally Waffle, and Our Lady of Victory. We will miss his wit and wisdom, his love and laughter, compassion and commitment, and his zest for life. Preceded in death by his wife, Lorena; and son-in-law, William F.

Deeser, he is survived by daughter, Carol Deeser of Tallmadge; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas A. and MarieIlene Whitehurst of Florida; grandchildren, Christina and Thomas Whitehurst; and cousins, Harold and Peggy Whitehurst of Akron.
