Born in Russia, she lived in Newark, moving to Jackson 12 years ago. Surviving is her husband, Mykola. Glenn A. DeBow Funeral Home, Jackson, is in charge of arrangements.

Out Of Area Flora Schreiber, author of 'Sybil' The Associated Press NEW YORK Flora Rheta Schreiber, who wrote the best seller, "Sybil," about a woman with multiple personalities, has died of a heart attack at age 70. Ms. Schreiber, a professor of English and speech at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, died Thursday at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan. "Sybil," a 1973 case study of a woman with 16 distinct personalities, was turned into a two-part NBC-TV movie in 1976. Her book, "Shoemaker," about Joseph Kallinger, a shoemaker who killed three people in Pennsylvania "and New Jersey, was published in 1983.

Anna Mischin, retired as chef BRICK TOWNSHIP Anna Mischin, 84, died Wednesday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was a chef at Rova Farm Restaurant, Jackson Township, for 20 years, retiring in 1981. Mrs. Mischin was a member of St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, Jackson.

Born in Russia, she came to this country in 1951, living in Toms River and Jackson, moving to Brick in 1986. Her husband, Philippe, died in 1986. Surviving are a son, Frank, Brick; three grandchildren, and a great-grandson. Glenn A. DeBow Funeral Home, Jackson, is in charge of arrangements.

Anthony v. alercio, 26, of Toms River, died Thursday at Community Medical Center, Toms River, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Dover Township. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. Mr. Alercio was a communicant of St.

Luke's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River, was a 1980 graduate of Toms River High School North, and attended Ocean County College. Joseph s. torrano, 67, "of Berlin, formerly of Whiting, Manchester Township, died Thursday at West Jersey Hospital, Berlin. He was a sheet metal mechanic at the Naval Air Engineering Center, Lakehurst, for many years. Mr.

Torrano was a member of the Winslow Township Senior Citizens Club. Born in Italy, he lived in Whiting most of his life and in Crestwood Village, moving to Berlin Vh years Surviving are his wife, the former Muriel Dudgon; a daughter, Jeanne Bentsen, Atco; a sister, Susan Bodard, New York, and three grandchildren. Knight Funeral Home, Berlin, is in charge of arrangements. Victor charles HENRIKSON, 73, a lifelong resident of Kearny, died yesterday at West Hudson Hospital, Kearny. He was a supervisor at Arrow Metal Fabricators, Newark, for six years, retiring 12 years ago.

Prior to that he worked at Golding Manufacturing North Arlington, and Pollack Manufacturing Kearny. Surviving are his wife, the former Agnes Smith; two brothers, Arnold, Delaware, and Roy, Kearny; a sister, Evelyn Gorman, Toms River, and several nieces and nephews. Armitage Funeral Home, Kearny, is in charge of arrangements. Chester b. piatkowski, 82, of Middletown Township, died Thursday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel Township.

Mr. Piatkowski was a storeroom worker at Colgate-Palmolive Jersey City, for 50 years, retiring in 1971. He was a communicant of St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown, and was a member of the Holy Name Society and a bingo worker at the church. Born in Jersey City, he lived there until moving to North Middletown in 1960.

Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Denphy; a son, Chester, Middletown, and a daughter, Mary Ann, Hazlet Township. John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, is in charge of arrangements. Dennis r. Swindell, 65, of Tinton Falls, died Oct.

26 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a mechanical engineer. Mr. Swindell was a pilot in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Born in Ilkeston, Parkhurst, England, he came to this country in 1964, living in Ohio and Shrewsbury, moving to Tinton Falls two years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Craig, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, and Glenn, Parson's College, New York; a daughter, Vannessa, Rutgers, New Brunswick, and a sister, Edna Hafton, England. Ely Funeral Home, Neptune, is in charge of arrangements. EVA A. HALVORSEN, 72, a lifelong resident of Atlantic Highlands, died Thursday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs.

Halvorsen worked in the food service department of the Atlantic Highlands Nursing Home, Middletown Township, for 15 years, retiring in 1980. She was predeceased by two sons, Arthur, in 1947, and Norman, in 1964. Surviving are two sons, Ronald Seaville, Upper Township, and Michael Mystic Islands, Little Egg Harbor Township; a brother, Theodore Nor-cross, Atlantic Highlands; a sister, Mae Christiansen, Bradenton, and six grandchildren. Posten's Funeral Home, Atlantic Highlands, is in charge of James A. Inman, ex-union official TOMS RIVER James A.

Inman, 73, died Thursday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He served as president and secretary-treasurer of Local 284 of the National Federation of Federal Employees. He was also the president of the Ocean County Chapter 637 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was a supervisor for the Naval Air Engineering Center, Lakehurst, for 32 years, retiring in 1979. Mr.

Inman was a member and treasurer of the former Pleasant Plains Methodist Church, was chairman of the pastor-parish relations committee, Lakehurst United Methodist Church; a member of the First United Methodist Church of Island Heights, a former officer with the Island Heights United Methodist Men's Club, and a member of the Toms River Democratic Club. Born in Cream Ridge, Upper Freehold Township, he lived in Lake-wood for 12 years, moving to Toms River in 1942. His son, James George, died in 1967. Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Kosovic; a son, the Rev. Theodore Mission, a brother, Clark Johnsonville, S.C., and two grandsons.

Galarza, 62, a school custodian, died Thursday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a custodian for the Toms River Board of Education for 22 years, currently working in the East Dover Elementary School. He was also a bookkeeper for the Lakewood Daycare Center.

Mr. Galarza held a U.S. patent for an indoor soccer ball. He was a member of the Bayville Elks Lodge 2394, and Christ Episcopal Church, Toms River. Born in Ecuador, he came to this country in 1951, living in Jersey City, moving to South Toms River in 1966.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Hill; two sons, Ernesto F. Toms River, and Augusto Pine Beach; two daughters, Ginger Estrella, South Toms River, and Mercedes Galarza, Hamilton Township; a brother, Augusto, and two sisters, Chelita Ochoa and Carmelita Velencia, all Ecuador, and two grandchildren. He was a manager at Valley View Golf Course, East Hanover Township, for 25 years, retiring in 1975.

Mr. Fiesser was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2068, Whiting, Manchester Township. Born in North Bergen Township, he lived in East Hanover and Nave-sink, Middletown Township, moving to Toms River eight years ago. Surviving are a son, Robert Aurora, a daughter, Pamela Fiesser, Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, and a sister, Ruth Constantino, Virginia. Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting, is in charge of arrangements.

HELEN WEST TATE, 78, of Lake-wood, died yesterday at Kimball Medi cal Center, Lakewood. She was a retired coil winder at Bendix Teterboro. Mrs. Tate was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.

Born in Derby, she lived in Little Ferry, moving to Lakewood 10 years ago. Her first husband, Frederick West, died in 1974. Surviving are her husband, Terr-ance A. scranton, 76, of Bayville, Berkeley Township, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Orange. She was a key punch supervisor at Western Electric Newark, for 12 years, retiring in 1971. Mrs. Scranton was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Bayville Elks 2394, a member and past president of the Newark Postal Ladies Auxiliary, and a member and past president of the New Jersey Postal Ladies Auxiliary.

Born in Newark, she moved to Bayville 20 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, and a son, Raymond C. Surviving are a son, John Par-sippany Troy Hills Township; four daughters, Shirley Weiss, East Orange; Patricia Piegaro, Hillsdale; Sister Marion, Sisters of Charity, Newark, and Sister Judith, Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chester, a sister, Florence Leigh-ton, Owego, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
