Al 0 Asbury Park PressWednesday, November 2, 1 988 Obituaries Florence Rosario, library assistant HAZLET TOWNSHIP Florence Rosario, 74, died Friday at Bay-shore Health Care Center, Holmdel Township, as the result of a brain tumor. She was a senior library assistant for more than 14 years at the Eastern Branch Monmouth County Library in Shrewsbury. Born in New York, Mrs. Rosario lived in Brooklyn before moving to Hazlet in 1957. She was member of the Monmouth Civic Chorus, Shrewsbury.

Surviving are her husband Charles, three sons, Charles Keyport; Richard, Sheridan, -and Robert, Middletown Township; two daughters, Lynn Correnty; Cherry Hill Township, and Victoria, at home. Cremation Service of Ocean, Brick Township, is in charge of arrangements. Joseph p. lawler, 76, of Keansburg, died Sunday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He worked at Charles of the Ritz, Holmdel Township, from 1969 until 1977.

Prior to that, he was a truck driver at Holland Transport, Bronx, for 40 years, retiring in 1969. Mr. Lawler was a communicant of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg, and was an Army veteran of World War II. Born in New York, he lived there, moving to Keansburg 20 years ago.

His wife, Helen, died last year. Surviving are two sons, Joseph, Brewster, N.Y., and Gerard, Massape-qua, Long Island; a sister, Florence Schulok, Stony Point, Long Island; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, Keansburg, is in charge of arrangements. Darren blittner, 19, of Mor- ganville, Marlboro Township, died yesterday at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold Township.

He was a June 1987 graduate ol Marlboro High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and captain of the varsity soccer team. Darren had been active in Marlboro Township Little League and township basketball, and was a member ol Congregation Ohev Shalom, Marlboro. Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Morganville 18 years ago. He was survived by his father, Burt, his mother, the former Esther Sarachek, one brother, David, and one" sister, Deena, all at home. Catherine e. boyd, 83, of Beach Haven, died Monday at home. Mrs. Boyd was a past member of the Bristol (Pa.) Episcopal Church. Born in Bristol, she lived there most of her life, moving to Beach Haven in 1962.

Surviving is her husband, William with whom she would have celebrated her 62nd wedding anniversary on Dec. 5. Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Ship Bottom, is in charge of arrangements. J. Krevin Leir, retired physician BRICK TOWNSHIP Dr.

J. Krevin Leir, 88, died Monday at Point Pleasant Hospital. He was a rheumatologist and arthritic specialist with private practices in Jersey City and Brick. He was also on staff at the Jersey City Medical Center and Christ Hospital, Jersey City. Dr.

Leir served his internship and residency at Roper Hospital, Philadelphia. He received a bachelors degree in science from the College of Charleston, South Carolina, and a doctorate of medicine from the Medical College of South Carolina. Dr. Leir was a member of B'nai B'rith, Brick, the American Medical Association, the New Jersey Medical Association, the Ocean County Medical Society, and the Hudson County Medical Society. Dr.

Leir was a member of Temple Beth Or, Brick, and the Masonic Order of Greenbriar I. Born in Russia, he came to this country in 1903. He lived in Charleston, S.C., and Jersey City for more than 50 years, moving to Brick 13 years ago. Surviving are his wife the former Anne Berman; a son, Ronald, Jersey City, and a brother, Fred, North Miami, Fla. Belkoff Jewish Memorial Chapel, Lakewood, is in charge of arrangements.

JOSEPH P. KOCHIS, 71, of Holiday City South, Berkeley Township, died Monday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a camera technician at Photo Tech, New York, for 30 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Kochis was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 337, Queens, and the Holiday City South Men's Club.

Born in Barberton, Ohio, he lived in Queens most of his life, moving to Holiday City South three years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Kathryn Adlon; three sons, Paul, Elli-cott City, Lawrence, Commack, N.Y., and Robert, Dumont; two daughters, Joyce Kochis, Whitestone, N.Y., and Susan Holden, Stanford, a brother, Frank, and a sister, Gertrude Horneck, both Barberton, and six grandchildren. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of Erich J. Tappert, state policeman 7 BRICK TOWNSHIP Erich Tappert, 48, died yesterday of lung cancer at Point Pleasant Hospital. He was currently a lieutenani with the New Jersey State Police; where he worked in the budget opera--tons department in Trenton for the past two years.

Mr. Tappert had been with the state police for 27 years, formerly stationed with Troop in Central Jersey, Troop on the Garden State Parkway1, and had been an instructor at the State Police Academy in Sea Girt from 1970 until 1980. Born in East Orange, he lived in Irvington, moving to Brick in 1964. Surviving are his wife, the former Dolores Meeker, two sons, Army 1st Lt Karl Fort Stewart, and Brian at home; three daughters, Liesa Long Branch, and Christina M. and Karin both at home; his mother, Wilhelmine Tappert, at home, and a sister, Liesa Arnold, Indianapo1 lis.

Mihok, cafeteria manager; POINT PLEASANT Anne Zir go Mihok, 82, died Monday at Community Medical Center, Toms River-Mrs. Mihok was cafeteria manage er at Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach schools for many years, retiring in 1965. i She was a former Sunday School teacher in the Slovak Lutheran Church, and a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Sorority, both Newark.

Donahue retired comptroller MURRELLS INLET, S.C. -2 Francis Donahue 63, formerly of Toms River, died Monday at Grand Strand General Hospital, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 'l He was a comptroller at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River; retiring in 1986. Prior to that, he worked at Alcan Metal Products, Union Township, for 33 years, retiring in 1980 as traffic manager. Mr.

Donahue was a Navy veteran of World War II and took part in the Normandy invasion. He was a member of the Myrtle Beach Elks Lodge, was a former member of the Toms River Elks Lodge, and a former communicant of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Dover Township. Born in Elizabeth, he lived there and in Toms River most of his life, moving here two years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Svachak; a son, Francis M.

Monmouth Elizabeth Diesing, clerk at pharmacy MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP Elizabeth Diesing, 69, of East Keansburg, died Saturday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel Township. She was a clerk at the Marquette Pharmacy, Keansburg, for 22 years, retiring three years ago. Mrs. Diesing was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4303, Ladies Auxiliary, West Keansburg, Hazlet Township, and the Geth-semane Lutheran Church, Keyport. Born in Shrewsbury, she lived in East Keansburg most of her life.

Her husband, Paul, died in 1983. Surviving are a son, Paul, East Keansburg; a sister, Dorothy Stamey, Lakeland, and a brother, Edward Reynolds, Orlando, Fla. Laurel Funeral Home, Hazlet Township, is in charge of arrangements. Doris r. conover, 63, of Little Silver, died Monday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.

Mrs. Conover was a member of the United Methodist Church, Red Bank, a member of the Cherie Circle of the United Methodist Women and a volunteer receptionist at the church. She was a member of the music department and past vice president of the Little Silver Woman's Club. Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Conover lived in Fair Haven before moving to Little Silver six years ago.

Surviving are her husband, Walter a son, David, Long Branch; a sister, Carol Hirsekorn, Tinton Falls, and three grandchildren. Adams Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge of the arrangements. MORRIS FEUER, 74, of 68 Mount Carmel Way, Ocean Grove, died Oct 22 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Feuer, also known as "David," was a self-employed vacuum cleaner salesman, retiring in 1976.

Prior to that he was a messenger for Western Union, Asbury Park and Ocean Grove, in 1944. Mr. Feuer attended South Orange schools in 1929, was an Army veteran of World War II, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 46. Mary E. Maxson, retired librarian MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP Mary E. Maxson, 86, of Navesink, died yesterday at King James Care Center, Middletown. She was employed by Middle-town Township Library for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She also owned and operated Mary's Doll Hospital, Nave-sink.

Mrs. Maxson was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Nave-sink, a volunteer for MCOSS for 40 years, was a member and organizer of the Navesink Republican Club, a Monmouth County Committeewoman for 50 years, and was a member and organizer of the Navesink Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Jersey City, she lived -there, moving to Navesink 60 years ago. Her husband, Howard, died in 1960. Surviving are a daughter, Lillian M.

Boeckel, Navesink; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. John P. Condon Funeral Home, Leonardo, is in charge of arrangements. LILLIAN F. TRUEX, 78, of Neptune City, a retired bookkeeper, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.

Mrs. Truex was employed at Mid-lantic Bank, Neptune, for many years, before retiring. Her husband, Harry died in 1982. Born in Irvington, she moved to Neptune City 60 years ago. Surviving are three sons, Howard Dombroski, Spring Lake; George Dombroski, Lakewood, and Thomas Dombroski, Point Pleasant; two daughters, Mary Scott, Neptune City, and Frances Metoski, Butler, her twin sister, Geor-- getta Pfeffer, Neptune City; 1 1 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Born in Newark, he moved to Cliffwood 30 years ago. LEVY, 67, of Aberdeen Township, died yesterday at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold Township. She was a secretary at Fort Monmouth for 10 years, retiring in February. Mrs. Levy was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan. Born in Baltimore, she lived in New York, moving to Aberdeen 20 Mary E.

Snyder, hospital volunteer HOWELL TOWNSHIP Mary Elizabeth Beach Snyder, died yesterday at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold Township, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Snyder worked with a group that was the first to start a drive for a hospital in the Freehold area. She was co-chairman of the decorations committee for the hospital's first charity ball and served in other capacities for subsequent charity balls. Prior to the opening of the hospital, she helped establish the volunteer program.

When Freehold Area Hospital opened, Mrs. Snyder and her mother, the late Mildred V. Foley, kept the account books for the hospital coffee shop and the Freehold Area Hospital Auxiliary store in Freehold for many years. Mrs. Snyder was a former employee of United Airlines and the Ethyl New York.

She had been active in the Republican Women's Club of Freehold and was a former member of the Woman's Club of Freehold. She was a graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. Born in Freehold, she lived there most of her life, moving to Howell six years ago. Her husband, Thomas died in 1987. Surviving are two cousins, Edgar I.

Emma Israel, 87, of Atlantic Highlands, died Monday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs. Israel was a member oi Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Atlantic Highlands.

Born in Leonardo, Middletown Township, she was a lifelong resident of Atlantic Highlands. Surviving are a son, Herbert Thomas, Westfield; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Born in Neptune, she was a lifelong resident. Surviving along with her mother are, her father, Roosevelt Grayson, Asbury Park; three brothers, Darnell, Nicholas, and Edward O'Neal, all at home, and her maternal grandmother, Janie O'Neal, Asbury Park. She was a teacher at School 9, Perth Amboy, for 38 years, retiring in 1968. Mrs. Warman graduated from Newark State Teachers College, received her master's degree at Rutgers University, and was a member of the National and New Jersey Education associations, and the Middlesex County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the YWCA, Newark, Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish and Rosary Society, was a communicant of St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake, a member of St.

Catharine's Association for Mature Persons, Republican County Commit-teewomen, Spring Lake Heights, Heighther Senior Citizens, Belmar Woman's Club, and Turners South, Toms River. Born in Newark, she lived there most of her life, moving to Spring Lake in 1970. Her husband, Russell, died in 1980. Surviving are two brothers, Charles E. Holland, Newark, and Marshall Holland, Bradenton, and several nieces and nephews.

Walter h. kitchel, 82, of Lakewood, died yesterday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a retired certified public accountant for Peat, Manwick New York. Mr. Kitchel was a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church, Brick Township.

G.A. De Bow Brookwood Memorial Home, Jackson, is in charge of arrangements. Charlotte l. worthy WOMACK, 37, of Temple Hills, Md, formerly of Toms River, died Oct. 26 in Temple Hills as the result of an automobile accident.

She was a schoolteacher at Cross-land High School, Temple Hill, since 1982. Prior to that, she taught history, physical education, and dance in several Prince George County high schools in Maryland, since 1972. She was named Coach of the Year in 1983 for women's high school basketball in Maryland. Mrs. Womack graduated from St.

Joseph's High School, Toms River, in 1967, and Morris Harvey College, Charleston, W.Va., in 1971. Born in Toms River, she lived there, moving to Temple Hill in 1982. Surviving are two daughters, Ar-lene and Chontel Womack, both at home; her parents, Emmitt and the late Luvenia Worthy, Dover Township; four sisters, and three brothers. SCHOBER, 54, of Jefferson Township, died yesterday at home. He was a senior research and planning associate for Allied Signal Morristown, for 16 years. Mr. Schober was a member of the American Production Inventory Control Society and the N.J. Jazz Society.

He was a professional jazz musician with various jazz bands playing reed and brass instruments. Born in Newark, he lived in Landing, Roxbury Township, moving to Oak Ridge, Jefferson, 91: years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Protzmann; four sons, Michael and John, both Point Pleasant, and Vincent and William, both Jefferson; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Lynn Rauf, Beachwood, and two grandchildren.
