Justine and Family Louise i. benjamin, 75, of Original Leisure Village, Lakewood, died Thursday at home. She was the chief operator at New York Bell Telephone Co. in Queens for over 35 years, retiring in 1973. Mrs.

Benjamin was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Trinity Reformed Church, Ridge-wood Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Ridgewood, moving to Lakewood five years ago. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence a son, Lawrence Lake Forest three daughters, Evelyn Zoller, Glendale, N.Y.; Patricia Herold, Atkinson, N.H., and Elizabeth Ann BonUe, Bloomsbury, a sister, Bertha Reed, Middle Village, Queens; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Czilak was formerly employed at several Lakewood hotels. Born in Romania, she lived in New York, moving to Lakewood many years ago. He was employed as a teller for the former Merchants National Bank, Asbury Park. He later worked for the Asbury Park Ocean Grove Bank and the Seaboard Ice Fuel Neptune, before returning to the Neptune branch of the Asbury Park Ocean Grove Bank, where he retired as head teller in 1969. Mr. Van Note was a member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church where he served as a member of the consistory. He was treasurer of the Atlantic Cemetery Association, Colts Neck, for 30 years.

He also served as the secretary of the first Planning Board in Atlantic William Pfister, racing car driver EATONTOWN William J. Pfister, 61, a race car driver, died yesterday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Pfister was modified champion at Wall Stadium in 1951 and holds the record for the most featured wins in the stadium in one season. Also in 1951, he placed second in the NASCAR championship for the National Modified Division.

He was a machinist with Tool Eatontown for 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. Mr. Pfister was an exempt member of the Eatontown Fire Department and First Aid Squad, and a member of Eatontown Elks Lodge 2402.

He was an Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong resident of Eatontown. Surviving are two sons, William Long Branch, and Peter, Freehold, and a grandson. Robert A. Braun Home for Funerals, Eatontown, is in charge of arrangements.

Kathryn a. reeve, 70, of Colts Neck Township, died Thursday at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold Township. Mrs. Reeve was a waitress for Green Meadows Restaurant, Colts Neck, before her retirement 10 years ago. She was communicant of St.

Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Colts Neck. Mrs. Reeve was born in Marlboro Township and had lived in Toms River before moving to Colts Neck 25 years ago. Surviving are three sons, Richard, Whitinsville, and Robert and Michael, both at home; a daughter, Dina Reeve, Mesa, three sisters, Margaret Zwiblis, Long Island; Stella Stafflinger, Wickatunk, Marlboro Township, and Mildred Mandrell, Colts Neck, and five grandchildren. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.

EARL H. SHACKELTON, 70, of Keyport, died Oct. 15 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel Township. Mr. Shackelton was an electronics engineer retired from Lavoie Laboratories, Marlboro Township.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Matawan, and Club 60, Keyport. Born in Plainfield, he lived in South Amboy until moving to Keyport 35 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Helen Frider. Surviving is his brother, Harold and sister, Lillian M.

She was a volunteer at De La Salle Hall, Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, Middletown, for the past eight years. Mrs. Mangan was born in New York and had lived in Freeport, N.Y., before moving to Lincroft 16 yean ago. Surviving are her husband, Charles, and two sons, Daniel, Long Branch, and Thomas, Brick Township. Holmdel Funeral Home, Holmdel, is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph j. pallone, of Long Branch, grandfather of Sen. Frank J. Pallone D-Monmouth, died yesterday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr.

Pallone was a building supervisor for Jersey Central Power Light Allenhurst, for 45 years until he retired in 1958. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, and a member of the church's Holy Name Society. He also belonged to the Amerigo Vespucci Society, Long Branch, and American Legion Post 44, Long Branch. Born in Italy, he lived there until moving to Long Branch in 1914.

His wife, the former Rose Mazza, died in 1984. Surviving are three sons, Carmine Little Silver, John and Frank J. Long Branch; one daughter Mary Viracola, Shrewsbury and six grandchildren. Mr. Van Note was born in Far-mingdale and had resided in Wana-massa, Ocean Township, prior to moving here 39 years ago. He was predeceased in 1964 by a son, William G. Van Note Jr. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Leah F.

Campion, Westport, a son, Frank Freehold Township; a sister Katheryn V. Ellis, Farmingdale; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements. Ernest johnston, 88, of Spring Lake, died yesterday at Christ Hospital, Jersey City. He was a locomotive engineer with the Pennsylvania Railroad for 43 years before he retired in 1967.

He was a communicant of St Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake. Born in Connecticut, he lived in Jersey City and Linden before moving to Spring Lake in 1968. His wife, the former Alice Drude, died in 1982. Surviving are a son, Ernest Secaucus; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Frank e. liegel 71, of Giffwood Beach, Aberdeen Township, died Thursday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel Township. Mr. Liegel, know as "Peps," was a self-employed mason for 40 years before retiring in 1979. Born in Newark, he lived in Union Township before moving to Qiflwood Beach 30 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rose Juliano; two sons, Frank Cliffwood Beach, and Kenneth, Parlin, Sayreville; one daughter, Patricia, Parlin; four brothers, Martin, Florida; Harry, Egg Harbor, Howard, Johnstown, and William, Jackson Township; two sisters, Viola Metros, Jackson, and Carol Chaplewski, Newark. Born in Roslyn, Long Island, she lived in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., before moving to Rumson, where she lived until moving to Middletown 42 years ago. Surviving is her husband, Peter D. John E. Stephen boyd, 35, of Bradley Beach, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a self-employed dog groomer and a Navy veteran. Born in Rahway, he resided in East Brunswick Township before moving to Bradley Beach three years ago. Surviving are his mother Grace Devine Boyd, Howell Township; three brothers, Robert, South Bend, Michael, Monroe Township, and Thomas, Bradley Beach. Ocean VlOLA CHRISTMAN, 94, of Holiday City, Berkeley Township, died yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Born in Passaic, she lived in Jersey City before moving to Holiday City four months ago. Her husband, George, died in 1968. Surviving are a son, George Christman, Berthoud, a daughter, Evelyn Hauser, Holiday City; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grand children. Deborah a. hale, 25, a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant, died Thursday at Brick Hospital, Brick Township, as a result of injuries she received in an auto accident Mrs. Hale was a former waitress at the Copper Hood Restaurant, Point Pleasant She is survived by her husband, Robert; her parents Philip and Lois Conaty, Point Pleasant; three brothers, Philip Point Pleasant Beach; George Toms River, and Thomas Point Pleasant; two sisters, Phyllis Thompson, Brick Township, and Rosemary McGregor, Point Pleasant. Lakeside Memorial Chapel, Lake-wood, is in charge of arrangements. WOODROW W. BOWMAN, 70, of Toms River, died Thursday at home. He was a maintenance worker with East Orange Recreation Depart ment for 15 years, retiring in 1980. Mr.

Bowman was a member of the Men's Club of Holiday City, Dover Township, and a life member of the Thomas Kepp Memorial Post 5445, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Born in West Orange, he moved to Toms River seven years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Edith Reinhardt; a son, Woodrow Lincoln Park; two daughters, Sharon Mazzanna, Lincoln Park, and Linda Castles, Brick Township; a brother, George, West Orange; two sisters, Elizabeth Glassen, Union Township, and Marion Case, West Orange, and seven grandchildren. Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston, is in charge of arrangements. William eyerman, so, of Lakewood, died yesterday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood.

He was employed by the Globe Tool Dye Makers, Carlstadt retiring 15 years ago. Born in Newark, he lived in Ir-vington before moving to Lakewood in 1987. His wife, Elizabeth, died in 1986. Surviving are five grandchildren. Lakewood Funeral Home, Howell Township, is in charge of arrangements.

Enza brooks reid, 79, Point Pleasant Beach, died Thursday at Point Pleasant Hospital. Mrs. Reid worked in the food service department of the Point Pleasant Beach schools for 20 years until retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Lady Guard of the Greater Point Pleasant Area, the Point Pleasant Chapter of Deborah and the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Born in Lakewood, she was a lifelong resident of the area.

Her husband, Norman, died 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Reid, Point Pleasant, and her sister, Georgiana Wright, Deerfield Beach, Fla. Van Hise Cailagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, is in charge of arrangements. OLGA OLSAVSKY, 81, of Brick Township, died Thursday at Brick Hospital, Brick. She was bora in Pennsylvania.

Her husband, John died in 1967 and a sister, Irene Pudlowski, died in 1988. deasio, 76, of Beachwood, died yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital in Toms River. Mr. DeAsio was born in Bayonne and lived there most of his life. He moved to Beachwood in 1973. He was a firefighter with the Bayonne Fire Department for 18 years before retiring in 1960, and was formerly employed at Freehold Raceway.

He was a member of the Bayonne Police and Firemen's Exempt Association, and Local 472, Freehold Raceway Security. Mr. DeAsio was a communicant of St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley Township. Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Powasnick; a son, Gabriel, Beachwood; a brother, Vincent, and two sisters, Camille Trepko and Josephine DeAsio, all of Bayonne; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
