Her first fan, Jacques Genet, has finally brought her here on honeymoon after six years of courting. "I never dreamed that I would say yes to a man again," said the 31-year-old bride, who has two teen-age children by her first husband. Her bourgeois parents sold her into marriage when she 12 years old.

"It was slavery that western women cannot imagine, she reported. "I was beaten and punished and finally repudiated when I escaped to France and divorced in 1961. The worst is the loss of my children." Her view of her new marriage: "At last I feel like a woman, not a slave. I love my husband because I chose him myself. I can respect myself as a free, responsible being." FREEDOM LOST IN MINISKIRT PARIS Andre Bauer, 40, testified it was a tunic that he was wearing.

The police said it was a miniskirt. They also reported that he made indecent gestures to women in trousers suits who objected to his feminine attire. "It's not feminine attire," protested Bauer. "I'm a soortsman, and I need freedom for my legs." Judge Cozette ruled that he needed something less than freedom. He sentenced him to one month in jail.

For the West Coast the coffee is roasted less, is lighter in color and has a sharp flavor.

It gets progressively darker which has nothing to do with strength as you move from west to east. Coffee is darkest around New York, but it's also very dark in Louisiana, where they prefer a French roast and mix their coffee with chicory. EATONTOWN Mr. and Mrs. George E.
