Roma Augustus LA MARQUE Roma Augustus went to heaven peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 29, 1994. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 1994, at 11:00 a.m., in the Augustus Funeral Home Chapel, La Marque. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Augustus Mortuary Winifred Louise Anseil GALVESTON Winifred Louise Anseil, 69, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, July 30, 1994 at her residence after a brief illness.

Born Winifred Louise Bean in Burnet, Texas on December 20, 1924, where she grew up. She attended college at Tarlton State College in Stephenville, Texas. On April 12, 1944, she wed Lee B. Anseil of Galveston, where she lived the remainder of her life. She was active in the Junior League of Galveston County, Inc.

for many years and sewed as President. She was also active in the Junior Guild of Trinity Episcopal Church. For the past twenty one years she was the Administrative Assistant to the head Mistress of Trinity Episcopal School. She is survived by her husband Lee B. Anseil; four sons Lee Anseil of Houston, James R.

Anseil of Friendswood, Terry W. Anseil of Richmond and William C. Anseil of Galveston; and twelve grandchildren Jennifer, Will and John Anseil of Houston, Steve, Kate, Elizabeth, Charles and Sarah Anseil of Friendswood, and Shelly, Chris, Leslie and Erin Anseil of Richmond, Texas. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Tuesday, August 2, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend John C.

Levy Bro. Funeral Home with interment at Old Catholic Cemetery. Samuel Collins Sr. Mr. Samuel Collins, 65, of Galveston, Texas, departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 1994 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 1994 at Shiloh AM.E. Church with Rev. M. J.

Leonard officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and a wake will be held from 7 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 2, 1994 at the chapel of Fields Funeral Home, Inc.

Mr. Collins was born June 23. 1929 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a self-employed mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Adelphi Social Club and president of the Big Brothers. Survivors include his wife, Marline Collins of Galveston; six sons Samuel Collins, Jr. and wife, Shirley of Texas City, Anthony Collins and wife Gail of Sugarland, Calvin Collins of Houston, Herman Collins and wife Tracy of Friendswood, Shedrick Collins and Icirean Collins of Galveston; three daughters Charlotte Dobbins of Galveston, Cynthia Williams and husband Michael of Houston and Jacqueline Collins and husband Anthony Sr. of Galveston; fifteen grandchildren; one brother, Bernie Collins and wife Cynthia of Chicago, one sister Mary Etta Collins of Seguin; an adoptive brother and sister Hamon Gilbert of Galveston and Evelyn Davis of La Marque; grandmother Mamie Collins of Laurel, uncles Charles Collins of Baton Rouge, La. and Andrew Collins of Laurel; aunts, Christine Seaton of La Marque, Joyce S.Z.

Norred Joyce Shirley Zitzke Norred passed away at 8:30 p.m. on July 30, 1994 in John Sealy Hospital. She was 66 years old. Mrs. Norred was a fourth generation Galvestonian.

She was the Great-Granddaughter of Danish born, Union veteran Emilius Gerhardt (1832-1917) and Irish born Mary Mahanev (1840-1898) both of whom moved to Galveston in 1865. Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt were the former owners of some of the land where "Old Red" of John Sealy Hospital now stands. Mrs.

Norred was the Granddaughter of German born Harry Edward Hempel (1862-1922) and Galveston born Annie Hempel (18771958). She was the only child of German born Hans Rudolph Zitzke (1890-1949) and Galveston born Anna Frances Hempel (1900-1983). Joyce Norred was born in John Sealy Hospital on September 28, 1927. She attended Alamo and Rosenberg Elementary Schools, S. F.

Austin Junior High and graduated from Old Ball High School in 1944. She was a member of the Ball High band where she played the bell lyra on the marching field. She attended Texas State-College for Women (now known as Texas Women's University) in Denton, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree on June 6, 1948 and her Master of Education degree on August 21, 1953. On August 28, 1949 she married James Darwin Norred in Denton, Texas.

She taught elementary school for 33 years. Those cities in Texas in which she taught were Canutillo for one year, Port Neches for two years, Crane for two years, Odessa for fourteen years and Galveston for fourteen years. While in Galveston, she taught at Goliad and San Jacinto Elementary Schools. Her only child, Frances Ann Norred, was born March 9, 1951 in Anthony, Texas. Mrs.

Norred returned to Galveston in May of 1969 where she lived until her death. She retired from the Galveston Independent School District in June of 1983. After her retirement, she was active in some of the historical foundations of Galveston and in the Cedar Lawn Garden Club. She loved the City of Galveston very much as shown by her works, the many books she owned of this city and the stories she told her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Jim Non-ed of Galveston; one uncle Mason E.

Hempel of Galveston; one daughter Frances; two grandsons George O. Fletcher and Curtis James Fletcher; and one George O. Fletcher II, all of Humble, Texas. Mrs. Norred was a kind, sweet and, most of all, gracious woman.

She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held at J. Levy Bro. Funeral Home from 5:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 1994.

Funeral Services will be held on August 2, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. in the J. Levy Bro. Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery following the chapel services.

Pallbearers will include Mark Belton, Doug McCloud, Santos Cruz, Bob Turner, J. W. Weaver and Charles Wilson. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity. J.

Levy Bro. A. Tuttoilmondo SANTA FE A. J. (Tony) Tuttoilmondo, 81, past away from this life Saturday at his home, July 30, 1994.

Born May 7,1913, in Galveston, Texas. He was a retired superintendent from McDonough Iron Works of Galveston, Texas. He was a member of the Boilermakers Local No. 132. Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Kudelka was born April 28, 1922 in Yorktown, Texas. He was retired from the City of Galveston where he was a Fireman, after 32 years of sen-ice. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII.

He was also a member of the National Guard and a member of the Shrine of True Cross Catholic Church of Dickinson. Survivors are his best friend Edward Hoffman of Galveston; his uncle Albert Kudelka and wife Melana of Galveston; aunts Mrs. Charles Kudelka of La Marque, and Mrs. Joe Kudelka of Alvin; numerous cousins; and friend Durfie Westbrook of Mission, Texas. Pallbearers will be members of the City of Galveston Fire Department.
