Raub was a waitress at Wol-fie's Deli, Toms River. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Tuckerton. Surviving are her husband. Rick her parents, Ted and Betty Martin, Tuckerton; two brothers, Joel Martin, Tuckerton, and Robert T. Martin, Oceanside, Calif, and two sisters, Jeanne M.

and Joyce A Martin, both Tuckerton. Riggs Funeral Home, Forked River, Lacey, is in charge of arrangements. Carmella perillo, of Laai- lette, died yesterday at Point Pleasant Hospital. Born in Italy, she lived in Paterson before moving to Lavallette 23 years ago. Mrs.

Perillo was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church, Lavallette. Her husband, John, died in 1983. Surviving are a son, Joseph, Lavallette, two grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Timothy Ryan Home for Funerals, Lavallette, is in charge of Catherine davts, 57, of Freehold TewasbJp, died yesterday at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold Township. She was born in Hightstown and lived in Englishtown before moving to Freehold Township five years ago. Surviving are her husband, Leon a daughter, Leona Thompson, Freehold; two brothers, Raymond Higgins, Cranbury Township, and John Franz, Freehold; two sisters, Esther WrobeL, Holmdel Township, and Mary Raab, Nevada, and two grandchildren. rankin, 87, of Red Bank, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Fair Haven, he lived in Red Bank most of his life. Mr. Rankin was a self-employed professional engineer. He was an exempt member of the Fair Haven Fire Department; a life member of the Mystic Brotherhood Lodge 21, Red Bank, and a member of Salaam Temple, Trenton.

Surviving are two sisters, Mabel R. Brown, Red Bank, and Mary Edith Fielder, Princeton. Adams Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. LESLIE HURT, 85, of Spring Lake, died July 1 1 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Bedford, he lived in the Shore area for 40 years.

Mr. Hurt was a retired handyman. HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP -Susan N. Lippincott Hujber, 43, of Pleasant Valley Road. Titusville, formerly of Farmingdale, died Monday with her husband in a boating accident in Titusville.

Born in Long Branch, she lived in Farmingdale for 30 years before moving to Titusville 13 years ago. Mrs. Hujber assisted her husband at Huber'i Drive-In, Titusville, and was a former teller for First Merchants Bank, Red Bank. She was a member of St. George's Church, Titusville, and its Renew Group.

Her husband, Donald died with her Monday. Surviving are two sons, Donald P. and Walter and a daughter, Christine, all at home; and a brother, Walter R. Lippincott, Avon. Wilson and Apple Funeral Home, Pennington, is in charge of arrangements.

George M. O'Brien, Illinois congressman The Associated Press WASHINGTON Rep. George M. O'Brien, R-I1L, died yesterday, it was announced on the House floor by Rep. Henry Hyde, R-ITL He was 69.

O'Brien died about 5:30 p.m., Hyde said. He had been suffering from prostate cancer and died at the National Cancer Institute in nearby Bethesda, said Ted Cormaney, the congressman's press secretary. O'Brien withdrew from the 4th District congressional race May 16 because of health problems, including the prostate cancer and severe arthritis. He was replaced on the Nov. 4 ballot by state Rep.

Jack Davis of New Lenox, III A native of Chicago, O'Brien was elected to the House in 1971 He was a member of the House Appropriations Committee and the ranking Republican on the panel's Commerce, Justice, State and Judiciary subcommittee. Sen. Paul Simon, D-I1L, called O'Brien "an honorable and superb public servant," adding. "He was kind and he was genuine. He had a good sense of wnere partisanship gives way to In 1985, O'Brien met with Syrian officials concerning seven Americans kidnapped in Lebanon.

The Syrians denied knowledge of the hostages' whereabouts, but they pledged to work for the release of the captives. O'Brien's home was in Joliet, 111., and his district encompassed a portion of the Chicago suburbs, including Chicago Heights, Aurora and Joliet The family of Sergeant William F. Born in the Bronx, he lived there before moving to Manchester in 1977. Mr. Cannon was an officer with the New York City Police Department for 30 years, retiring in 1970.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St John's Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst, and the Old Guard of Cedar Glen Lakes. Surviving are his wife, the former Eileen Scott; a daughter, Kathleen Cur-ko, Manchester, a brother, Robert, Ora-dcll; a sister, Julia McCarthy, Old Bridge Township, and four grandchildren. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Ridgeway, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements. Caroline marcett, 82, of Toms River, died Wednesday at the Country Manor Nursing Home, Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, she lived there before moving to Whiting, Manchester, in 1970.

Mrs. Marcett was an executive secretary the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Co. of Chicago, New York, for many years, before retiring in 1964. Her husband, J. Robert, died in 1973.

Frances szwet gray, 71, of Silver Ridge Park, Berkeley Township, died Wednesday at Community Memorial Hospital Toms River. Born in Utica, N.Y., she lived in Carlstadt before moving to Berkeley seven months ago. Surviving are her husband, Albert D.

two sons, Albert D. Walton, N.Y., and Glenn, Island Heights; a brother, Chester Szwet, Norfolk, a sister, Josephine Lynch, Port Richey, four grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. Born in Duncansville, she lived in Teaneck Township before moving to Lakewood 10 years ago. Mrs. Danielson was a schoolteacher in Bergen County for many years and first-grade teacher in the Hacken-sack schools for IS years, retiring in 1976. She was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Normal School in Lock Haven, Pa. Surviving are her husband, Win-field two sons, Winfield S.

East-ford, Conn, and Richard, Orlando, a brother, Roger Renner, Union City, a sister, Pauline Strasser, Harrisburg, and five grandchildren. Born in Fienza, Italy, she lived in Toms River before moving to Point Pleasant 2'h years ago. She was a former communicant of St Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River, and a communicant of St Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant Beach.

Her husband, Frank, died in 1976. Surviving are two daughters, Louisa Turner, Santa Cruz, and Jan Durik, Point Pleasant Beach; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Van Hise Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, charge of arrangements. is in HELEN ZILL, 70, of Jackson Township, died Wednesday at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. Born in New York, she lived there before moving to Jackson in 1968.

She had summered in Jackson for many years. Ms. Zill was a legal secretary for Olvaney, Isner and Donnelly, New York, for several years, retiring 20 years ago. She also was a former secretary for the board of directors of Roova Farms for several years. During the 1970s, she was honored for her volunteer work with Roova Farms and for helping the elderly in the Russian community.

She was a member of Roova Branch Jackson. Surviving are four sons, Nicholas, Washington, D.C, Sasha, Denver, Mark, Brooklyn, and Paul Point Pleasant Beach; her mother, Julia Saladucin, Freehold, and seven grandchildren. Glenn A. DeBow Funeral Home, Jackson, is in charge of arrangements. PEARCE H.

MORGAN, 79, of Berkeley Township, died Wednesday at Community Memorial Hospital Toms River. Born in Rockaway, he lived in Chatham before moving to Berkeley four years ago. Mr. Morgan was an electrical supply salesman for various northern New Jersey companies, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Madison Masonic Lodge, Madison; the Salaam Temple of the Shriners, Livingston Township, and the Square Club, Berkeley.

Surviving are his wife, the former Karin Ness; a daughter, Karin A. Marshall Mercer Island, a son, Jeffrey Fort Meade, and three grandchildren. Born in Trenton, he was lifelong Titusville resident Mr. Hujber was owner and operator of Huber'i Drive-In restaurant, Titusville. His wife, the former Susan N. Lippincott of Farmingdale, died with him Monday. Surviving are two sons, Donald P.

Mrs. White was an analytical technician for Revlon Edison Township. She was a 1975 graduate of the University of Miami. Surviving are her husband, Daniel Lee; her parents, Peter and Theresa Konen, East Brunswick; and two brothers, James P. Konen, Pemberton Township, and Phillip Konen, East Brunswick.

Gaines, led women's group ELIZABETH Frances Kohl Gaines, 84, former president of the Na- tional Association of Bank Women, died Wednesday at home. She was a lifelong resident here. Mrs. Gaines was a secretary to the president and later corporate secretary of United Counties Trust retiring in 197S after 42 years. She was a member and former president of the National Association of Bank Women; a member of Soropti-mist International; a past president of the Quarter Century Club of United Counties Trust Companies, and a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, all Elizabeth.

John Giampietro, 68, a former high school band director, died Tuesday at home. Giampietro, known as was born in Philadelphia and lived in Monmouth County before moving to Florida in 1971. He served in the Army for many years, retiring as a master sergeant Mr. Giampietro was a former band director at Red Bank Catholic High School He was a member of American Legion Post 39. He was first vice president of the Old Guard of Greater Point Pleasant; publicity director of the Congress of Concerned Citizens, here; trip chairman of the Senior Citizens, Breton Woods and Maplewood, and a hospice volunteer at Point Pleasant Hospital He also was past president and a director of the American Association of Retired Persons 2839, here; a member of Brick Presbyterian Church; past president of the Breton Woods Property Owners Association; past commo- dore of the Breton Woods Yacht Club, and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1020, Maplewood. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. His wife, the former Veronica Herman, died in 1976. E. LELAND SLOCUM, 69, of Point Pleasant, died yesterday at Point Pleasant Hospital. Born in Toms River, he lived there before moving to Point Pleasant 41 years ago. Mr. Slocum was a builder and carpenter for many years, retiring in 1962.

He last worked in the maintenance department for the Point Pleasant Board of Education. Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Freeman; four sons, Kenneth, Lansing, Richard Toms River, Charles, Berkeley Township, and Michael, at home; a daughter, Ruth Anne Baker, Point Pleasant; a brother, Robert Toms River, two sisters, Mildred Eitel, Belmar, and Muriel Slocum, Jersey City, and 12 grandchildren. Born in Ocean Grove, he lived in Asbury Park before moving to Lake-wood seven months ago. Mr. Conover was a sheet metalworker for Coast Cigarettes, Asbury Park, retiring in 1971. He was a member of the Calvary Lighthouse Church, Lakewood. Surviving are a daughter, Christina Hicks, at home; a sister, Mae Par-cell, at home; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Lakewood Funeral Home, Howell Township, is in charge of arrangements. SUSAN MASUHR, 69, of Lake-hurst, died yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Born in Pennsylvania, she lived in Ocean Gate most of her life before moving to Lakehurst two years ago. She was a member of St Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley Township. Her husband, Gehard, died in 1971 Surviving are three sons, Gehard Asbury Park, Thomas Lexington, S.C., and Kenneth Ocean Gate; two daughters, Susan Nichols, Lakehurst and Marion Desousa, Toms River, two brothers, three sisters, and nine grandchildren.
