A sweep for Moorestown GANNETT NEW JERSEY The Moorestown girls lacrosse team left no doubt about its preeminence in New Jersey, beating arch-rival Shawnee 12-2 yesterday at Rutgers University's Yurcak Field. The Quakers NJSIAA (23-0) extended LACROSSE their winning FINALS streak to 45 mmmmmmmm games, handing Shawnee (21-2) its second loss of the season, The Renegades' only other loss came April 3 to Moorestown, 15-7. Moorestown used an early spurt to take control. Junior Allyson Zeitz scored three goals in 1 minute, 20 seconds to give Moorestown a 5-0 lead after 12 minutes of play. IN BOYS LACROSSE: MOORESTOWN 8, SUMMIT 3: Moorestown took advantage of its first trip to the state final, beating the Hilltoppers at Rutgers University's Yurcak Field.

The Quakers (18-3) played a nearly perfect second half, outscoring Summit 5-0 in the last two quarters. Moorestown seniors Andy Hippie and Mike McGinley led the offense, scoring two goals each. McGinley added an assist. Summit (20-3) struck first and took leads of 1-0 and 2-1. Senior Mike Sartorius finished with 14 saves.

i Noe (8-0) struck out seven and walked two, and he gave Audubon a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with his 16th homer of the season. Audubon scored five runs with two away in the second. Brian Jakubowski singled home a run and then Nate Schill, who had three hits, doubled home two more. The other two runs came across on singles by Tyler Inkster and Tom Arnone. Newton (25-3) scored in the second on a towering home run by Bill Sisca.
