It-stock is now traded over the counter. The Board of Governors of the American Stock Exchange is scheduled to act on the application at its semi-monthly meeting Thursday in New York City. The Levitt firm will celebrate its 34th anniversary this August.

The firm launched a major expansion and diversification program in 10. At that time it was building only at its headquarters location in Levittown, N.J. Today, the company has current or immediately projected branch offices in seven locations in the United States and overseas. Building in N.J. Levitt is builrling residential communities in the metropolitan New York area at Strathmore at Matawan, in Matawan Township; at BeLair in Bowie, and at Levittown.

Work has begun on the initial units in a community near San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Europe the company is active in multiple housing in metropolitan Paris where six projects have been started five in the city, one just outside. Levitt and Sons Inc. was founded by the late Abraham Levitt and his two sons. William and Alfred.

Until World War II. the company built semi-custom homes on the North Shore of Long Island and in Westchester county. Strathmore Bath, Tennis Club to Open NEW APARTMENTS Workmen are putting the finishing touches on Emory Park Apartments, a 12-unit two-story building at Deal lake drive and Emory street in Asbury Park. Deal Lake Towers Paramus, headed by Richard Poley, built the apartment house. The apartments are three-room units.

Off-street parking is provided. The company brought mass promotion techniques to the building ndustry with the creation of Levittown. Long Island, a community of 17.447 houses, built between W7 and 1952. Levittown, followed with 17.311 homes built between 1952 and 1958. Levittown, X.J., where more than 5.000 of the planned 12.000 homes have been built and occupied, was begun in 1958.

For the fiscal year ended February 28. 1963, Levitt and Sons reported net profits of $1,389,000 or 46 cents a share, an increase 9f 58 per cent from the profit of $878,000. or 29 cents a share reported for the previous year. The company's stock was first offered publicly in 19HO. Authorized are 5.000,000 shares of capital stock with a par value of 70 cents per share; issued and outstanding are 3,000,000 shares.

New Project In Matawan Set to Open MATAWAN Aberdeen East, a new Gold Medallion garden apartment community, opens this weekend on Aberdeen Road here. The 240-unit project will have complete underground utility wiring. Builders Arthur Goldberg and Paul Waters are offering 165 one-bedroom units and 76 two-bedroom apartments with monthly rentals starting at $118. The community will include 19 buildings designed by Gerber and Pancani, Newark architects. The colonial style buildings will be of rose blend brick with colonial exterior trim and lighting fixtures.

The apartments have been planned with a density ratio of 12 families to the acre. A recreational program including a 1,800 square foot swimming pool, separate children's pool, and tennis, shuffleboard, basketball, handball, and volleyball courts is also planned. All utilities will be operated electrically. The one bedroom apartments include a 20-by-13 foot living room, 13-by-ll foot kitchen-dining area, a 13-by-ll foot bedroom, and a ceramic tile bath.
