Cody is seriously considering the offer. "While the offer was only tentative, the letter stated that there would be no trouble in obtaining ths appointment. If Cody, goes to he Navy he will be able to play four years more of football under their rules of eligibility. "Even if he does not go to Annapolis big Josb is undecided as to whether or not he will return to Vanderbllt next year, though the special dispensation of the S. I.

Griffiths in turn has beaten Welsh, as have Joe Shugrue, Jimmy Duffy, Benny Palmer and Jimmy Murphy second raters. Consider some of Kilbane's meritorious performances not forgetting that even a champion can make a bad bout occasionally.

On Dec 6, 1914 he -gave away seven pounds and. held Joe Man-dot, then 'In his prime, even in 12 rounds. On Feb. 1, he gave Rocky Kansas the worst beating the Buffalo boy has ever received, and Kansas held Mandot even in two bouts and knocked him down twice. On March 17 ltst Kilbane made the featherweight limit of 122 pounds for bantam champion Williams, then heralded far and wide as the greatest little man of all timer and beat him from pillar to post in a six round affray in Philadelphia.

Besides proving his class in this Kilbane demonstrated he's a real champion in weight. If you would go further into TFie situation study the following records which show that Welsh hasn't knocked out an opponent in 25 months and that Griffiths hasn't scored a kayo in 14 months, while Kilbane has far surpassed Welsh and has done quite as well as Griff: The last vestige of Ioubt which ex- 1 isted as to Pitt's football schedule for next fall. was. removed reatcrdav. with By Ed Bang, (porting: Editor Cleveland Kewt.
