Daily Herald Thu, November 25, 1999 And Area Death Reports Localized By Region Valley Page 3 OBITUARIES Mildred M. Miller of Glen Ellyn A funeral Mass for Mildred M. Miller, 85, celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Petronille Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn.

Born June 23, 1914, in St. Charles, she died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Fla. Burial will be in North Cemetery, St. Charles.

An educator, Mrs. Miller had taught school at Benjamin School in West Chicago, was principal of Evergreen School in Carol Stream, and retired as a teacher and principal at Keeneyville School in Keeneyville. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Petronille Church in Glen Ellyn and the Delta Kappa sorority. Mildred will be remembered as a truly caring and sharing Surviving are her children, Jerome Edward (Bonnie) Miller of Carol Stream, Gregory William (Jamie) Miller of Glen Ellyn and Patricia Ann (William) Pilz of Palm Harbor, grandchildren, Thomas Pilz of Largo, Timothy Pilz of Athens, Paul Pilz of Clearwater, Julie Matousek of West Chicago, Jody Byas of West Chicago and Gregory Miller of Glen Ellyn; and five greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Eugene Miller, and brother, Dr. George F. Parker. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Glen Ellyn.

Saturday, at -Jones Funeral Home, 309 N. Joliet Road (corner of routes 59 and 30), Plainfield. Born Aug. 15, 1928, in Joliet, she died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at home.

Interment will be in Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield. She was a lifelong resident of Plainfield and was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary of Plainfield. Dixie was a member of the Larry's Diner Morning Coffee Clutch Club. She was a 1946 graduate of Plainfield High School. Survivors include her children, Rex L.

(Cynthia) of Wilton Township, Kevin R. (Sandra) of Plainfield and Cheryl Myers of Plainfield; grandchildren, Richard, Russell and Katie Myers; brother, John R. McCulley of Joliet; and aunt, Sally Nolte of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, John and Juanita (nee Greshaw) McCulley; and her brother, Francis. Tracy was the former owner and founder of Apex Wood Floors of Downers Grove. Marcus enjoyed real estate development and residential construction. His hobbies included motorcycles, boating and sports. He leaves behind two of his best friends, his dogs, Toledo and Philly. Survivors include his brother, Michael N.

Tracy of Aurora; sislers, Barbara Z. (Frank) Safechuck of Malibu, Lavonne (Alex) Chicco of Downers Grove and Karmen (Curtis) Jensen of Thousand Oaks, Calif; and nephews, Scott Safechuck and Aaron Chicco. FOX VALLEY OBITUARIES George L. Adams of Elgin Memorial services for George L. Adams, 88, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State Elgin.

The Rev. Thomas Walker will officiate. Born Aug. 12, 1911, in Elgin, to George S. and Clarice (nee Strubing) Adams, he died Wednesday, Nov.

24, 1999, at Sherman West Court, Elgin. Burial will be private. A lifelong resident of Elgin, Mr. Adams was a 1929 graduate of Elgin High School attended Illinois Wesleyan University and the University of Chicago. He was employed as a personnel director with the Elgin National Watch Company fuse plant in St.

Charles and then with Sherman Hospital, before retiring. George was a member of First Methodist Church of Elgin, the Golden Kiwanis Club of Elgin, the Elgin Kiwanis Club, the Elgin Historical Society, the Fox River Valley Rose Society and the Elgin Mens Garden Club. Surviving are his son, John (Roberta) Adams of South Elgin; granddaughters, Stacey (John) Byl of Jenison, and Melissa (Adam) Neace of Elgin; great-grandsons, Erik and Nathan Byl; and brother, Gordon (Delvine) Adams of Elgin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Anderson Adams, in 1992, and brother, Robert Adams. Visitation will be from 2 p.m.

4, 1916, in Churdan, Iowa, to Herbert and Vera (nee Kinsman) Mumby, she passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at the Michealsen Health Care Center i in Batavia. Vesta married James Baldridge on June 12, 1940, in Churdan. During her time in Iowa, she was active at First Baptist Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her daughters, Sara (Greg) Arvanitakis of Carol Stream and Susan Baldridge (Joe) Haggerty of Wake Forest, N.C.; granddaughter, Katie Arvanitakis of Carol Stream; and sisters, Verba Harriott of Iowa City and Venita Grundon of Overland Park, Kan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James, and sister, Vivian Fleming. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Blankenship of Elgin A funeral Mass for Elizabeth M. Blankenship, 92, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Elgin. Born March 6, 1907, in River Falls, to Thomas and Elizabeth Linehan, she died Monday, Nov.

22, 1999, at Carrington Care Center. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Chicago. A resident of Elgin for many years, Mrs. Blankenship was a member of St.

Laurence Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society, the Catholic Daughters and the Young at Heart group. Surviving are her sister, Anna Sklarov of Miami, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Blankenship, in 1951; brothers, Thomas, William and Frederick Linehan; and sister, Katherine Warner. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove. Mr. Dedes was a retired real estate broker with Dedes Realtors in Chicago. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Dedes (nee Dallas); son, Dean Dedes of Chicago; daughters, Helen (Dr. Philip) Lambruschi of Crystal Lake and Athena Cremerius of Buffalo Grove; sister, Alice Dedes of Evanston; and four grandchildren.

Burial be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside. Mr. Dodo had been employed by the City of Chicago Board of Elections for 25 years. Surviving are his son, John (Janet) Dodo of Batavia; and grandchildren, Paul Dodo of Batavia and Shannon (Frank) Falbo of West Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances M.

and Dorothy Cadek, she passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn. Dorothy grew up in Chicago and had lived in Batavia sinec 1953.

She had resided at Riverrain Retirement Apartments in Batavia for the past 17 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed quilting and was noted for her cooking ability. She treasured her special times with her family and beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tom) Graff of Elgin; son, Art (Susan) Hamer of Brooks, grandchildren, Mia and Robin Guerra of Elgin; great-grandchildren, Angel and Anthony Guerra of Elgin; and by her many special friends. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State Elgin. Born May 24, 1926, in Wasco, to George and Natalie (nee Bartelt) Renwick, he died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Carrington Care Center. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Renwick was in the auto sales business with his brother, Bob Renwick. Prior to their retirement, the pair had owned Renwick Motor Sales for 40 years, located on South Grove Avenue in Elgin where the Grand Victoria Riverboat now stands. 'Fats" was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post Surviving are his brothers, George (Evelyn) Renwick of Joliet and Robert (Mildred) Renwick of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 1997, four sisters, and three brothers.

Schuchert of Elgin Funeral services for William R. Schuchert, 75, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Elgin. The Rev. Harold Ross will officiate.

Born Feb. 7, 1924, in Elgin to William M. and Rose Bartell Schuchert, he died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Elgin, Mr. Schuchert was a graduate of Northwestern University. He was the owner of Schuchert of Elgin and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife. Lois Oiney Schuchert, to whom he was married for 50 years; sons, William (Diane) of Lakewood and Fred (Annette) of Elgin; and grandchildren, Beau and Brooke of Lakewood and Allyson, Colton, and Rachel of Elgin.

Born March 10, 1934, in Lublin, Wis. to Adam and Mary (nee Shelek) Yanos, he died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital. Burial will be in St.

Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joan Cole Yanos; children, Cathy (Michael) Hapanionek of Hanover Park and Rev. Richard M. Yanos, Pastor of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Lake Villa; grandchildren Tara, Joseph and Michael; and sisters, Helen (Gus) Arvanitakis of Lake Geneva, Wis. and Ann Kaczmarek of Lublin, Wis.
