Obituaries MRS. THOMAS P. FALLON KEYPORT Mrs. Anna Fallon, 84, of 163 Luppatatong died Wednesday. She was born in Marlboro Township and lived most of her life here.

She was the widow of Thomas P. Fallon. She was employed with, the Single System Laundry, here, until her retirement. Surviving are a son. Thomas E.

and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Merrill, here; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Bedle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. MRS. C.

L. CAMPBELL BEACHWOOD Mrs. Hattie W. Campbell, 79, of 325 Ship died Wednesday. She was the widow of C.

Leeland Campbell, who was a member of the Board of Commissioners from 1943 until 1949, and served as mayor in 1950. Mrs. Campbell was a past matron of Gloria Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Toms River, and was first president of the Beachwood Women's Civic Club. She had lived here for 53 years. Surviving are a son.

D. F. WAHLERS SR. POINT PLEASANT Dietrich F. Wahlers 83, of 1745 Bay Isle Drive, died Wednesday.

Until his retirement in 1950, he was a supervisor for American Can Union. Mr. Wahlers came here from Maplewood 25 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Wahlers; a son, Dietrich Upper Arlington.

29, 1975 See SERVICES for more Avery F. Blake. Lacrosse Coach LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP Avery Felton Blake, 68, of 25 W. 30th Beach Haven Gardens, died Monday. He was a summer resident here for 20 years and moved here permanently in 1972 from Swarthmore, Pa.

Mr. Blake was lacrosse coach at Swarthmore College from 1931 to 1960, and then lacrosse coach at the University of Pennsylvania from 1960 to 1970. He was named U.S. InterCollegiate Lacrosse Association 1 coach of the year in 1969 and received the state of Maryland's lacrosse hero award in 1972. Mr.

Blake was a founder' and past president of the lacrosse Hall of Fame and past commodore of the Spray Beach Yacht Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Mable Nield, a son, Avery, Danville, a daughter, Mrs. Edward J. Brennan, Swarthmore, and four grandchildren. details on some obituaries Viola Hoffa, 85, Unionist's Mother DETROIT (AP) Viola Hoffa, mother of ex-Teamsters President James R. Hoffa, died in a suburban Detroit hospital Thursday, 29 days after her son disappeared. She was 85. A spokesman for Dr. Jahangir Mohtadi said Mrs.

Hoffa died of natural causes at Plymouth General She was hospitalized a week ago. Previously she resided in a Farmington nursing home. A friend of the family said she "died of a broken heart" over the mysterious disappearance of her son. "Her death is a direct result of the tragedy concerning her son," said Murray Chodak, law partner of her grandson, James P. Hoffa.

"It's been a very bad month for this family. "Mrs. Hoffa was a very alert woman until this tragedy. She asked for her son every day and could be seen deteriorating. The family is very upset," Chodak said.

James P. Hoffa was unavailable for comment. Chodak said Josephine Hoffa, wife of the former union leader, was released from a Detroit hospital last Friday. She was hospitalized Aug. 17 for exhaustion and strain resulting from the disappearance of her husband, the family said.

Viola Hoffa was born on Jan. 1. 1890. She married a coal prospector and lived in Brazil, Ind. Her husband died in 1920, when James R.

Hoffa was 7. The Hoffas moved to Detroit four years later. VERNON W. REYNOLDS TOMS RIVER Vernon W. Reynolds, 70, of 1101 Washington died Wednesday.

Potter died Tuesday while vacationing in Burlingame, Calif. Mr. Potter had lived in Irvington before he moved here 17 years ago. He retired in 1959 when his son, Bernard A. Lang, succeeded him in the family insurance business.

LILLIE R. SHEFFER OCEAN GROVE Miss Lillie R. Sheffer, 87, of Francis Asbury Manor, 70 Stockton died yesterday. Miss Sheffer moved here in 1964 from East St. Louis, where she was the director of Settlement House.

Howell Group Approves School Post Candidates HOWELL TOWNSHIP The United Black Taxpayers of Howell Township have approved four candidates for the position of affirmative action officer presented by the school superintendent.

Superintendent Sidney Zaslavsky told the group last night the four candidates he is considering are Norman Levison, principal of Aldrich School; Mrs. Hilda Weissberg, principal of Southard School; Michael Petruccione and James Eldridge, both supervisors. All tour candidates volunteered for the job. Zaslavsky assured the black group it would have the opportunity to meet and interview the four candidates before the September meeting of the school Board. At the September Board meeting, the school Board is expected to approve the candidate selected by Zaslavsky.

George Wyatt, president of the taxpayers' group, said he was satisfied with the meeting last night and hopes his group will soon sit down to discuss curriculum and hiring with the new affirmative action officer. "Unless we identify the problems in our schools and admit they exist, there can be no change or improvement," said Wyatt. "From our perspective, children come home from school with all kinds of complaints about the school system," said Wyatt.
