(Spl) Mr. and Mrs. John Bauhofer an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Louise, to Kenneth Don Gower of near Cedar Hill. The wedding is planned for early summer. The bride-elect is a graduate of ln honor of Ed Payne Bate and his visitor, Reginald Stubba, both students at Cumberland University In Lebanon.

Guests were invited to call between the hours of 7:30 and 10:30 o'clock. The serving table was centered with an arrangement of spring flowers, flanked by burning white-tapers, and spring flowers in profusion were used throughout the reception rooms. Guests included Mary Jo Walsh, Margaret Evalyne Howington, Joan Bell, Ann Atkinson, Freda Feld-kircher, Bill Payne, Lon Payne, Ed Saunders. Joe Womach and John O'Neal Culley. The Rev. J. Vergil Siberal will officiate following a program of nuptial music to be presented by Miss Janice Parr of Munfordsville organist, and Earl Holloway, Nashville, vocalist. The bride, who will be given in marriage by her father, Mr. Redinger, will be attired In '-a blue marquisette dress and will wear white accessories.

Her loose arm bouquet will be of yellow roses. Mrs. Marcia Crowley of Chattanooga, sister of the bride and her only attendant, will wear a pink crepe dress with black accessories and will carry a arm bouquet of spring flowers in a contrasting shade. Robert Van Sickle of Indianapolis, will serve as his brother's best man and Richard Van Sickle, another brother of the bridegroom, will be the usher. Immediately following the ceremony Mrs.

Charles Bowles of Sey mour, will entertain at a reception at the Barnes Hotel honor ing the bridal couple. Miss Mary Panagon will assist in receiving the guests, who will be limited to members of the bridal party, relatives and out of town guests. Later in the evening the couple will leave for a short wedding trip. For traveling, the bride will wear a rum-colored gabardine suit with brown accessories. The bride attended Ward-Belmont in Nashville, and is a member of the faculty of the music department there.

She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Arthur Jordon Conservatory and Butler University in Rochester, N. Y. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, national music fra ternity. Mr. Van Sickle received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from John Herron Art School in India napolis, and his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa at Iowa City.

The Rev. J. B. Spurlock read the mar riage vows. A program of nuptial music was given preceding the ceremony by Mrs.

J. B. Ragan, vocalist, and Dewey A. Williams, organist. For the occasion the altar was banked with palms and white flowers flanked by burning white tapers In branched candelabra.

The bride, who was given in mar riage by her grandfather, Charles Wallwork of Brookford, wore a powder blue dress with navy blue accessories and she carried a prayer book adorned with white orchids. Mrs. Elizabeth Sharpe, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor and was attired in a grey crepe dress with black accessories Mrs. trrea Tomun served as bridesmaid and her costume was a pink crepe dress; both attendants carried arm bouquets of pink roses. Don Harned served as best man, and completing the bridal party were the ushers, Sherman Gardner and William Chapman.

Mr. and Mrs. William Chapman and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tomlin were hosts at a reception immediately following the ceremony, at the Chapman home on Ridley Boule vard.

Guests included members ox the bridal party, the two families' and close friends. Later in the evening the couple left for a short wedding trip, for which the bride was atttoed in a navy blue suit with navy acces sories. The bride is the daughter of the late Henry Wallwork. Out-of-town guests present at the wedding were Mrs. Charles Wall- work of Brookford, grandmother of the bride; Mr.

and Mrs. W. B. Wallwork of Chicago, 111., and Miss Bessie Wallwork of Mur ray, Ky. Two Compliment Miss Tidwell Complimenting Miss Doris Tidwell, an April bride-elect, Miss Jean Robinette and Miss Nita Parker entertained at a luncheon Saturday afternoon at the Hermitage Hotel.

Assisting In receiving the twelve quests were Mrs. B. F. Tidwell, mother of the bride-elect, and Mrs. B.
