When this lyrical show opened on tour last fall, It was given something like a grade rating with doubts that it would reach Broadway. But producers, players, writer and composer started an editing job which has turned up now a nighty, bubblesome musical for its Broadway premiere. In the original book George S. Kaufman and Leueen MacGrath did an adaptation from Melchoir mendation regarding the industrial arts problem at Asbury Park High School.

The board went along vith the suggestion of Dr. Jules Lewin, board member, that "we contact tertS. Lengyel "Ninotchka. And when that didn't jell, they called in Abe I Burrows to write further humor into the lines. At the same time composer Cole i Porter, who had written the songs for the first script, began doing new songs to meet the mood of the rewritten script.

Hill, superintendent of Asbury Park scnoois, has warned the board there that the high school may lose its rating with the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools if plans are not started soon to provide industrial arts education. Dr.

Lewin asked several times for an expression by the board and pointed out that since Belmar sends students to Asbury Park High the board should be anxious to make sure the best educational facilities are provided. The Township Committee recently rejected an ordinance that would have authorized $1 for thejnstallation of storm drains in Deal Park. The cost of installing the drains, gutters, new curbing, and paving the streets has been estimated at $250,000. Mr. Scheck has stated that property owners have agreed to be assessed $75,000 for the gutters and curbing. Mayor James J.
