Jameson, another Republican, was unopposed for assessor. He received 803 votes. Eatontown Voters Okay Cops' 40-Hour Week EATONTOWN Two Republican councilmen were returned to office and voters approved a 40-hour week for boro police. Councilmen James N. Wolcott, and Ralph L.

Lewis defeated their Democratic opponents, Anthony Siciliano and Patsy Cecero. Mr. Wolcott received 763 votes, Mr. Lewis 759, Mr. Siciliano 314 and Mr.

Cecero 267. The police hours question passed by a vote of 733 to 116. Republicans in Again in Oceanport OCEANPORT Three Republican incumbents were returned to office here without opposition. Mayor Edward C. Wilson, received 576 votes.

Councilmen, Felix J. Foggia polled 589 and Adrian C. Clugh received 554. Unopposed Roosevelt Incumbents in Again ROOSEVELT Incumbents, unopposed, were all returned to office here. Mayor Irving Flicker, Republican, received 134 votes.

Councilman Irving Plungian received 238 and Assessor Leroy Levine polled 232 votes. Both are Democrats. David S. Bulkin, a Democrat, received 218 votes to gain the other council seat. Flint, Garritv, Metzger Reelected in Inlerlaken 1NTERLAKEN Three Republican incumbents were reelected without opposition.

Mayor Sanford C. Flint received 368 votes and Council-men Harold V. Garrity and Samuel P. Metzger, polled 373 and 374, respectively. Allenhurst Cops Win Pay Raise ALLENHURST Voters here approved a 15 percent salary increase for members of the police department.

The question passed 243-71. Upper Freehold Township Incumbents Reelected ALLENTOWN Frank M. Smith. incumbent Republican, was reelected- to the Upper Freehold Township Committee. He received 394 votes.

John C. Field, Republican assessor, also was reelected. He received 383 votes. Neither was opposed. Sobechko Reelected in Tennent TENNENT Democratic committeeman James Sobechko was reelected yesterday.

He defeated his Republican opponent, William A. Schlechtweg, 715 to 359. J. Arthur Craig, incumbent Democrat, was reelected assessor without opposition. He received 748 votes.

Barger, 133, and Mr. Lanigan. 92. Ward DeGroot Picked in Atlantic Township COLTS NECK Ward W. DeGroot was elected to the Atlantic Township Committee yesterday without opposition.

Mr. DeGroot, a Republican, received 410 votes. Incumbent Warne L. Snedeker did not seek reelection. Democrats Get Highlands Council Seat HIGHLANDS Democrats John Newton and Cornelius J.

Guiney knocked two Republicans off the council yesterday in a fairly close election. Mr. Newton and Mr. Guiney defeated incumbents Matthew Horan and Edward A. Finley.

Two Democrats Win in Howell AUDENA Democratic incumbent Thomas C. Ap-plegate was reelected to the Howell Township Committee. His 762 votes made him an easy victor over George W. Matthews, Republican, who received 456-totals for Albert J. Gunther, independent, were incomplete.

Out Lonsdale SPRING LAKE Democratic Mayor Frank Marucci and two Republican councilmen were reelected here yesterday. Mr. Marucci, with 637 votes, was not opposed. Councilmen Louis VanNote and Harold G. Kohl, both Republicans, won over C.

Gilbert Lonsdale, a Democrat. The vote: Mr. VanNote, 732: Mr. Kohl, 610, and Mr. Lonsdale.

420. Benjamin G. Patterson. Republican assessor, was reelected with 761 votes. Wnollev Elected in West Long Branch WEST LONG BRANCH Dr.

Owen Woolley. Republican, was elected mayor here yesterday without opposition, lie will fill a one-year unexpired term caused by the death of James R. Mount. Dr. Woolley received 820 votes.

Mr. Mount died in August after serving as mayor since 1931. Republican Councilmen Roy C. Parsons and Fred W. Schantz retained their seats by defeating H.

Dann Hicks. The vote: Mr. Parsons, 798; Mr. Schantz. 809, Hnd Hit.

306. Harry R. Vogel, with 809 votes, was elected without cilmen. In other phases of the election. Republicans swept into office without opposition.
