Hobe. who died Monday at his home, 1412 Blackadore Penn wiU.be held there at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow. Mr.

Hobe. a native of Pittsburgh, for many years conducted a meat store in Brushton. In 1922. he became meat superintendent for Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania for the Atlantic Pacific stores. He retired in 1936 because of ill health and since has traveled extensively.

He was a member of the St. Stephen's Lutheran Church of Brush-ton. In addition to his widow, Laura Powell Hobe, he leaves two daughters. Mrs. Virginia Schlossnegel and Helen Hobe; a sister, Freda Long-well; three brothers, William and Albert of Pittsburgh and Karl of, Tucson, Ariz.

S. Funeral Thursday at Stanley L. Cowie Funeral services for Stanley L. Cowie, well known to many of Pennsylvania Railroad passengers as "Captain." who died in Latrobe Hospital Monday night, will be held in the Roy E. Sibel Funeral Home, Ligonier, at 7:30 o'clock, to-right.

Burial will be in Charleston, W. Va tomorrow. "Captain" Cowie was passenger conductor on the Pittsburgh Division of the Pennsy for 46 years, and for 34 years was on the Ligonier express run between Ligonier and Pittsburgh. In that time he had made so many friends in the mountain community that when he retired in 1934, he decided to go to Ligonier to live. One of the oldest members of the Order of Railway Conductors, to which he belonged for more than 50 years, "Captain" Cowie was also a member of the Samuel Hamilton Lodge, F.

A. Wilkinsburg. the Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, of Derry, Pa, the George S. Kimble Club, Ligonier, and an honorary member of Ligonier Rotary Club. Recently he became one of the watchers at the Civil Conservation Tower on the Rolling Rock Grounds.

Surviving is a brother, George, of Columbus, O. John M. Laverty Solemn high mass of requiem for John M. Laverty. retired real estate operator, who died Monday in his home.

Charles S. Lindsay Charles S. Lindsay, president of the Heppenstall Co. at Bridgeport, Conn, a subsidiary of the Heppenstall Co. of Pittsburgh, died Sunday in his home at Bridgeport.

Mr. Lindsay, born in Pittsburgh In 1867, was in the banking business in Pittsburgh until 1910 when he became affiliated with the Heppenstall Co. here. After the purchase of the Heppenstall plant in Bridgeport, Mr. Lindsay was made secretary and treasurer of that plant and later was elected to the presidency, which position he held until the time of his death.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie M. Heppenstall Lindsay and a daughter, Miss Sara A. Lindsay. Also surviving is a sister, Miss Jane Lindsay of the East End.

Mr. Lindsay was a member oi various Masonic organizations. Funeral services were held today in Bridgeport and the body will be brought to Pittsburgh for services tomorrow at 3 p. at H. Samson's, 537 Neville St.

Burial will be private in Allegheny Cemetery.
