Indiana University Hoosiers will clash with Memphis state College today in Memphis, Tenn. for the Memphis State Classic basketball title. Franklin's Jon McGlocklin led a Hoosier second half attack against well regarded St. Louis Monday as he tallied 18 of his 29 points.

Indiana posted a 98-68 triumph after trailing 37-35 at the half. Winning Coaches Nominated For "Coach Of Year" ROCHESTER, N.Y. (UPI) Eight coaches, who appear to advocate that winning isn't everything but the only thing, have been nominated for the 1964 major college coach-of-the year award by fellow members of the American Football Coaches Association. More than 800 coaches from 250 colleges participated in the voting which selected one coach from each of eight regions. More on the list of nominees are Harold Lahar, who guided Colgate, to its best record in 30 years 7-2: Richard Colman of unbeaten Princeton; William Tate, whose 5-5 record in his first season at Wake Forest is significant because the Deacons had won only one game the two previous seasons; Robert Devaney of Nebraska, who directed the Cornhuskers to a 9-1 slate and the Big Eight title.

Others are Frank Broyles of undefeated Arksansas; and Rose Bowl bound Oregon State's Tommy Prothro, the winningest coach in the Pacific Coast Conference 8-2. Bryant, who directed Alabama to the national title with a 10-0 record this season, was the coach-of-the-year in 1961. Parseghian. in his rookie year at Notre Dame, restored football glory to the Irish with a 9-1 record, losing only to Southern Cal in the finale. The award winner will be chosen at the annual AFCA convention at Chicago, Jan.

Ron Peyser and Larry Cooper both picked up four personals which prompt- ed Branch McCracken to switch McGlocklin to the pivot spot. Helped Hoosiers Balanced scoring helped I.U. win its eighth straight without defeat. It pinned the worst defeat in seven years on the surprised St. Louis team.

McGlocklin hit his career high with the 29 points. Dick VanArsdale hit for 18 points and brother, Tom, made 12. Steve Redenbaugh scored 14 points. Play In ICC Gym At 7 P.M.; Field Is Strong INDIANAPOLIS Franklin College Grizzlies are in Indianapolis today for the annual Indianapolis Classic and play the first game at 7 p.m. today.

The Grizzlies play against Otterbein College. Other teams in the tourney are, St. Joseph's College and defending titlist Indiana Central College. This field is rated one of the event's best. Franklin College is the lone team entered with a losing record but the Grizzlies could surprise.

May Start Probable Franklin College starters are Bob Windhorst, 6', forward; Bob Billieu, 6,5" forward; Rich Edwards, 6', 5" center; Steve Baker, guard and Steve Mclntyre, 5', 10" guard. Otterbein players who may start: Jan Sorgenfrei, forward; Mike Grayem, 61" forward; Don Carlos, center; Tim Pond, guard and Dick Reynolds, guard. Indiana Centra! tests St. Joseph's College in the second game today. Indiana Central College starters include Clark Crafton, 6', forward; Jim Cummings, forward; Roger Wathan, center; Jack Noone, 6', 2" guard and Ray Mozingo, 5, 11" guard.

St. Joseph Starters St. Joseph's College, one of the best small college teams, has good height. They will start Paul Zosel, 6' 4" forward; Lon-nie Brunswick, 6' 3" forward; Carl Bossung, 6'4" center; Tom Crowley, guard and George Post, 5' 10" guard. Franklin will be out to improve their overall record and show ICC they have a challenger in the Hoosier College Conference.

Franklin depends much upon the rebounding of Windhorst, Edwards and Billieu. Steve Baker will be a "spark" for the Grizzlies at the guard slot along with Mclntyre. Baker is an experienced Indianapolis Classic player and can shoot with the best. His defensive work could aid the Franklin cagers much. Edwards and Windhorst are capable double figure scorers and a 20 point performance by either one is quite possible.
