Obituaries Pittsburgh Press, July 13, 1982 A-7 Hitchcock Widow Dies In LA At 82 LOS ANGELES (AP) Alma Reville Hitchcock, a screenwriter and widow of director Alfred Hitchcock, has died at the age of 82. Mrs. Hitchcock had a stroke years ago, and was in deteriorating health even before Hitchcock's death in 1980 at the age of 80. She died in of undisclosed causes on the morning of July 6, in her home.

Mrs. Hitchcock was born on Aug. 14, 1899, one day after her husband. She worked with Hitchcock from the beginning of his film career, eventually helping write and edit some of his movies. grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends are being received until 9 p.m. today at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Ross, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.

William F. Brown TIONESTA William F. Brown, 74, a Pittsburgh native who resided in this Forest County community, died yesterday. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; three Montgomery, two daughters, Marion Brown of Georgia and Wilma Webster of Connecticut; three sons, James E. of Worthington, Armstrong County, H.

Leslie of Penn Hills and M. Wesley of Valencia, Butler County, and nine grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Burket-Truby Funeral Home, 421 Allegheny Oakmont, where Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow and burial services at 9:30 a.m.

Jr. of Valencia, Butler County; Richard L. of Pottstown, Montgomery County, and Jack D. Meess of Wexford; nine included forays into Pennsylvania politics and a brush with notable Hollywood film producers, died yesterday at her Pleasant Hills home. Mrs.

Friedlander, 62, was the wife of the Automotive Market Report publisher and editor, Sydney Friedlander. For the past 18 years, she served as public relations director for her husband's publication. She was a member of the St. Thomas a Becket Roman Catholic Church, Clairton. For a quarter of a century she was a transcriber for the American Braille Institute.

She also was well known in Allegheny County bridge circles and was a member of the Rolling Hills Country Club. A graduate of Gibbs School for Women in New York City, she became executive secretary for film producers David Selznick and Jock Whitney. She was active in Penn-V sylvania politics and worked for the auditor general's office in Harrisburg during the late 1940s. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Janan Frey of Bethel Park; her mother, Alice Loftus of Carbondale, Lackawanna County; four brothers, James of New Orleans, Wil- liam and John of Levittown, Bucks County, and also of Carbondale; and one granddaughter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Edward Montgomery H. Edward Montgomery, 64, a retired employee in the forge shop at Edgewater Steel Oakmont, died yesterday at his Penn Hills home. Mr. Montgomery, of 1163 Hamil Road, was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Verona Eagles No.

1634, and was a 33rd-degree Mason active in Verona Lodge 548 and Syria Temple. Surviving are his wife, Marion Farrow r-WANTED sons, William and Fred of Pittsburgh, and Richard of Arizona; a daughter, Mary; three sisters, Ruth Falk of Harrisville, Butler County, and Kate Oxenreiter and Betty Seifert, both of Pittsburgh; and two brothers, Fred and Robert, both of Pittsburgh. Friends are being received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Moore-Borland Funeral Home, Leeper, Clarion County.

Mackall, manager of trade shows and exhibits for Westinghouse Electric was buried at the Mill Creek Cemetery today in Hookstown, Beaver County. Mr. Mackall, 46, who had resided at 395 Wagonwheel Terrace, Wexford, died Saturday at North Hills Passavant Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Mackall was a graduate of the University of Arizona and Syracuse University. He had worked for Westinghouse since 1963, and had served as manager of the industrial shows since 1978. Fisher Joseph "Silky" Fisher, 64, a Pittsburgh theatrical agent, died Sunday in Robin Hill Park, Moon Township, of an apparent heart attack. Mr.

Fisher of 1425 McFarland Road, Mt. Lebanon, was the owner of Fisher Associates in the Jenkins Arcade, Downtown. He was a member of several Pittsburgh Masonic orders. There are no survivors. Friends will be received until 9 tonight at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 219 East Grand-view Zelienople, Butler County.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County. Beatrice F. DeMatty Beatrice F.

DeMatty, retired teacher for the Pittsburgh public schools, died Sunday at St. Margaret Memorial Hospital. Miss DeMatty, 84, was a former resident of Aspinwall and was living at Valley View Nursing Home in Cheswick at the time of her death. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Frick Training School, she began her teaching career at Watt School in Herron Hill, now Vann School. At the time of her retirement in 1964, she was teaching at South High School.

During her career, she was the recipient of the Valley Forge Freedom Foundation Award. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St Scholastica Church in Aspinwall. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Children's Home of Pittsburgh, 5618 Kentucky Pittsburgh 15232. Margaret H. Hoffman Magaret H. Hoffman, 76, a teacher for 42 years in the West View and North Hills school districts, died yesterday at her home in Sheraden. She was a graduate of Slippery Rock State College and Pennsylvania State University, and was a member of the Ingram Presbyterian Church and the Ingram Civic Club.

She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Hoffman of Sheraden. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Edward Schepner Funeral Home, 165 Noble Crafton. Services be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
