Both schools are in San Antonio, A number of New Braunfels people were present for the cocktail hotif and dinner. Among those enjoying the evening were Nina and Joe Grim, Lie and Paul Norwood, Ken Bernalse, Dana Bennett, Isabel and Carlos Campos, Jack and Nancy Krneger, S. D. and Nancy David, Doyle Krueger and nit wile. Arlene Krueger Seales was out of town, unable to attend.

In another special event with an international flavor, Miss Jana Martin was honored at a Graduation Tea but it was tea with an English flair. The English Tea was given by Carl Gray and Shari Kasberg. Can's sister, Melissa Mudge, lives in England, and assisted Shari in putting the tea together doing it right by English standards. The setting was the Rose Garden Gazebo at Conservation Plaza. The menu included an assortment of ringer sandwiches (including the traditional cucumber, of course), breads, fresh fruits and a lovely "gateau" prepared by Naegelin's Bakery.

English tea, purchased from the New Braunfels Coffee Company, with all the appropriate condiments, was also served. As a surprise treat for the young ladies, two New Braunfels High School Seniors, Grant Hill and Bradley Clark, graciously agreed to serve the Tea to the guests. The charming young men directed the ladies in the parking Carl Gray Qaft) and Shart KMtorg (right) wtth Jana Martin at aracaht graduation taa In the ROM Garden (tezatoo at Conservation Plaza. area, then escorted them through the Rose Arbor (to the strains of Mozart) and then to the Gazebo where the beribboned and flowered tables were awaiting them Beautiful table arrangements, corsages and boiitonnieres, all masterpieces of Blumen Meisters Flower Shop, presented a perfect setting for an English Tea. The young ladies strolled through the Plaza grounds and toured Forke Store until all had arrived.

The gentlemen politely beckoned them when 'was time to be seated for tea. Enjoying the gorgeous spring weather at the afternoon party were Jessica Sullivan, Margo Deschner, Shawn Worthy, Carly Mulhollan, Lisa Poeck, Kim Engler, Kelly McKean, Emily McGufley and Devin Cobb. Special guests included Mrs. Janice Martin, mother of the graduate, and Mrs. Virginia Hale of San Antonio, grandmother of the graduate.

Amber Wenzel, Kristy Kaufmann, Jenny Monahan, and Amy Fortner were unable to attend. Jana Martin is a senior at New Braunfels High School and will graduate in May 1996. She is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Fred Martin.

Lucille Jett just spent a grand week in Brownsville visiting her son; Stan- ley. It was one of those double Easter and birthday time. Lucille and Stanley whiled away the week doing many things including touring the city and enjoying the many bougainvillea flowers that are in full bloom. They also went across the border to Matambras and had dinner at a favorite night spot, Garcia's Stanley's 45th birthday dinner was at the Oyster Bar Restaurant in Brownville. On another day they had lunch at the elegant Palm Court Restaurant in town.

the big surprise came Sunday wnen the two of them went to Ft. Brown (a popular, historic restaurant in Sunday brunch. There Sample Bin Cleanout they were spotted by an ex-New Bfaunfelier now living in ftay- mondville (about 50 miles 'away). Many of you will remember ttorehce Moefler BrownfltM who recently left New Braunfels. Lucille was delighted to see her friend and to chat with her.

Stanley is an engineer with the CTS Company of Brownsville, located in Matamorasi He has been living in Brownsville and commuting to Matamoras for the past 23 years. Jean arid Mark Kneuper just returned from a family vacation trip to Fjorida. Accompanying them were their two children Robby, age 2 and Katie, one year old. This is a yearly pilgrimage. They take advantage of a family condominium in Hollywood Beach, Florida (hear Ft Lauderdale).

There they spent a relaxing week enjoying the the ocean breezes, shuffleboard and stone crabs. Young Robby especially took to flying kitesOn me beach. Katie particu- lariy enjoyed the baby pool her parents set up for her, paddling around like a fish. The family had the opportunity to attend Easter church services at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, better known as the Church of the Little Flower! They took in an Easter brunch afterwards.

Jean has been visiting yearly at this family condo since she was 10 years old. She knows the people there and they have known her, too, for a long time. Now with her family, it seems like old times.
