Attorney. Henry Busse Wins Feature And Pays $21 Victor Barely Misses World Mark By BOB DRUM Pittsburgh Press Staff Writer CHESTER, W. May 26 Henry Busse, a four-year-old son of BaLIadier-Bonnie Queen, named after a former trumpet player, played taps over the rest of the field In the Apple Blossom Purse here today before a crowd of 15.000. The Apple Blossom was the feature race at Waterford Park. Henry Busse ran the five furlongs in :58.4 seconds, little less than a second off the world record.

Henry Busse returned his backers $21, $7.80 and $5 as a long shot won the feature for the second Saturday in a row. Craig Scores Double The daily double numbers were the same as last week when three-six was good for a hit of $25 at the cashier's cage. Howie Craig rode the double, the first time a jockey has been able to come home in front on the winners of the first and econd races. But Henry Busse, the big chestnut colt, took down the lion's share of the honors. The winner was good for the biggest part of a $1500 purse to Lookout Stud.

A new arrival from Louisville. Johnny Nazareth, was up on the winner. At the start of the sprint, it looked like a 2-1 favorite, Duke Aumar, would hold up to his advance billing. But Henry Busse took command at the head of the stretch on the inside and won by a length and a quarter. A little over half a length separated the next three horses, Duke Aumar, Lumena and Lawless Miss.

Dainger Girl Wins In the opening number, Dain-ger Girl, an eight-year-old mare, breezed home by three and a quarter lengths and returned $5. Then In the second race, a full sister to Dainger Girl named Westover Gal, came home in front in a photo finish to pay $11.20. Both horses are owned by Mrs. L. A.

Whiteley, and ridden by Craig. The duo which got back only $25 for its backers was the lowest double payoff at Water-ford thus far. Craig made it three in a row In the third race when he rode the five-year-old mare, Romany Ann, to a four-length victory. But he couldn't keep the streak alive in the fourth and went down on the Favored Eland when Dance Light, ridden by V. Bovine, came under the wire alone.

The fifth event was won by Eternal Square, with J. R. Lay-ton in the saddle. Eternal Square was good for a $7 return to its backers. Met Net Finals Scheduled Today Finals in the eight divisions of the Metropolitan tennis championships will be held today at the Mt.

Battleground Wins Withers With Arcaro Winner Expected To Run in Belmont NEW YORK, May 26 (UP) Battlefield, a temperamental chestnut galloper from Philadel phia, charged to victory today in the historic Withers Mile and right Into contention for the three-year-old championship. With Eddie Arcaro urging him on, Battlefield bounced home a head in front of Jumbo after the two swift colts had hooked up in a head-and-head battle down Bel mont Park's long straightaway.

A crowd of 36,249 installed Bat tlefield the 3-5 choice in the field of seven. He paid $3.40, $2.50 and $2.20. Jumbo rewarded $2.80 and $2.60, while Nullify, which finished third, paid $2.90. Battlefield is owned by George D. Widener, the boss-man of Bel mont Park.

The colt did not start in the Kentucky Derby or Preakness because he did not train properly. Widener, however, is pointing his horse for the Bel mont Stakes. Battlefield, who never before had traveled more than seven furlongs, was clocked in a snappy 1:35 4-5 for the mile. The time equaled the record for the stake, held jointly by Johnstown and Hill Prince. Ascot Park Opens Saturday AKRON, May 26 (Special) Ascot Park will open a 43-day race meet here next Saturday.
