served as judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit were unveiled ri day during a ceremony at the courthouse Sponsored by county officials and the Garrard County Bar Association the program honored former circuit judges Henry Cox Delbert Eagle and the late Gilbert Wilson The gold framed portraits will be hung in the courthouse cour troom along with name plates identifying the men and their terms of office County Judge Executive LG Hammons said Cox who retired from the bench in December assumed the judgeship in 1970 when the 13th Circuit was comprised of Garrard Lincoln Boyle and Mercer coun ties In July 1970 Boyle and Mercer were moved to the 50th Circuit and replaced by Jessamine County In addition to serving as circuit judge Cox also has been county attorney president of the local building and loan association and a military officer Eagle who served as circuit judge from July 1968 through December 1969 and Wilson who served from January 1964 through July 1968 also held county offices Eagle is a former county judge educator and Alcohol Beverage Control administrator Wilson served as county attorney county judge and was a military officer The wives of the three men unveiled the portraits at ceremony They are Lucy Walker Cox Louise Eagle and rances Wilson Pierce Lively chief judge of the 6th Circuit US Court of Appeals was guest speaker for the occa sion A Danville resident he work ed under the jurists while in private practice Lively told the large crowd that Cox Eagle and Wilson carried on a of set by other distinguished judges who served Garrard County Among the service from becoming licensed According to Chaney the West End Ambulance Service has been surveyed and will be recommended for licensing if it provides information on per sonnel that was missing when a field representative for the state Cabinet of Human Division of Licensing and Regula tions conducted a survey in mid March The seven people who comprise the West End Ambulance Service volunteers
