Lady Sylvia WarehiMMe Aamx Hospital (CoBtlnuta From Otterbein Home for many years. Now they make pads for the Butler County Home. Miss Detmer was a member of the Stamp Guild of the hospital when the group collected and counted sales tax stamps for refund. In 1951, she started donating time to the gift shop of the hospital. One tends to wonder how many hours have been donated to the hospital by Miss Detmer.

Not Recorded Hours have been recorded since January of 1961 and since that time she has donated over 10,787 plus many hours spent at home stuffing dolls. Many, many hours have been apent at home in various chores and these are not recorded. Additional hours are spent traveling to and from the hospital. Miss Detmer does not drive. She walks or travels by bus.

For her hospital trips, she takes a bus to the uptown area and transfers to a bus that will take her close to Fort Hamilton. Miss Detmer said she still enjoys working with the younger volunteers.
