Phone 49 ROBBED A CAR Sometime yesterday evening a Frisro car was entered and two saeks of bacon taken. One sack of 114 pounds, was found near the old Millikin barn by one Mr. Black. The other sack has not been found. M.

M. Hallam, chief of police, turned the bacon over to the Frisco agent. The meat. was consigned to Roy Van Horn of Peoria, Okla. The theft was committed before the car was locked for the night.

SHULTZ DEAD Porter Clark was called to take care of the remains of Emanuel Shultz, who passed away to day at m. Aged 72 years. He leaves number of relatives to mourn his loss.

His wife died last February. No funeral arrangements had been made at press time, but it is thought the funeral will be sometime Sunday. He will be buried in the Brush creek cemetery. STRUCK BY FRISCO TRAIN Edward Williams, who lives in Kansas City, but who was here on about 11 o'clock this morning struck by a moving Frisco train, near the distillery at the state line. Mr. Edwards was in an automobile and was on his way to Joplin. Mr. Williams had his left arm broken between the elbow.
