5DEC22l995) FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22. 1995 ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH 7C OBITUARIES Rev. George Hoech; Longtime Pastor At Area Baptist Churches Computer Virus In Romania Has Political Agenda 1 995, Reuters News Service BUCHAREST, Romania Romania's best-known political slogan a call for President Ion Iliescu to resign, has been turned into a homegrown computer virus. The newspaper Cronica Romana reported that "Jos Iliescu" (Down with Iliescu) flashed across screens whenever users of infected computers pushed the J-O-S keys together.

Apart from the electronic insult the virus is apparently harmless. Iliescu, who has twice won democratic elections, is an unpopular figure among liberals and students who accuse the former communist of hijacking the 1989 revolution that toppled dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Fading "Jos Iliescu" graffiti remain a common sight in Bucharest. A.J. Fishnich, 88; Executive For Motor Freight Company AJ.
