VISITATION HAMRA, GERALD FARRIS "JERRY" passed away on Feb. 10. 1995 at the age of 64, the eulogies given for him at this funeral on Feb.

13, were indicative of the love that his relatives and friends had for him. His funeral was held at St. James United Methodist Church, and was one of the largest funerals in the history of Little Rock, with over 1 ,000 in attendance, including Arkansas Governor and Mrs. Jim Guy Tucker, and former Arkansas Governor Frank White. If the Wendy management had not limited their personnel attendees from each restaurant to three, then attendance would have risen by an overflow of over 1 ,000 people, who would have had to stand outside.

Escorting the casket were 60 Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers including Dallas Cowboy owner, Jerry Jones. Hamra sister-in-law. June Hamra sang the "Lord Prayer" as he ad requested. Preceding The Rev. John Miles tribute to Hamra.

eulogies were given by Dave Thomas, Founder of Wendy's International, who referred to Hamra as "the closest person to a brother that he ever had by Jim Near, Chairman of the Board of Wendy's International who referred to Hamra having won evey Wendy's award given, ind-luding the first Wendy Founder's Awared by Mike Massad. Hamra cousin and Insurance Executive from Dallas, Texas, recalled giving the eulogy for Hamra father in 1974, and stated that "Jerry stayin in touch with his friends since childhood and never turned down anyone in by Sam Hilburn, his attorney, who vouched that "Jerry Hamra was one of the five best friends of those in attendance, and in most cases, the number one best friend, including and by Father George Tribou, who said that Hamra was the closest person to the Bible "Good Samaritan" than anyone he knew. Also read at the funeral was a letter from President Bill Clinton to Hamra's wife Carolyn, and children, Jeri Lynn and Laura and Ryan: "As you gather today with family and friends to remeber Jerry, Hillary and I want you to know you're in our prayers. Jerry was a wonderful friend to many, often going that "second mile Through his generosity, he touched ihe lives of many throughout Arkansas. We will forever remeber his thoughtful-ness and kindness.
